Despite the fact that India is a very distant country for us, we have a special connection with it. Who or what could be Indian? We’ll try to figure it out.
1. Chess
The first prototype of chess appeared in the countries of Mesopotamia, but the Indians brought them to the kind in which we are accustomed to them. They develop our brain and make us more smart. For many decades, the game of chess has been considered a sport: annually international tournaments are held there.
2. Elephants
When you think about the question of what or who can be Indian, an elephant comes to mind. Probably, we all know that African and Indian elephants differ in size and appearance - Indian individuals are somewhat smaller. Despite this, for many years elephants were used instead of horses, and on the backs of these mighty animals there were small turrets where several soldiers were at once. Now elephants are used to transport goods.
2. Figures
Who or what can be Indian, if not TV shows! Now interest in Indian films and TV shows has substantially subsided, but in the USSR watching such cult TV shows as “Colors of Passion”, “What should I call this love?” etc., was the whole event, since almost the whole family gathered in front of the television screens.
4. The numbers
Few people would have thought that the answer to the question of who or what could be Indian would be numbers. After all, the modern numbers that we use to this day, the Arabs invented? Not really. Arabic numerals were originally Indian. Hindus also made a very important mathematical discovery - they began to use the number "zero" to denote emptiness.
