The wearing of medals by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies is regulated by a number of strict mandatory standards. - The pads of the second, lower, strap should be under the medals - 35 mm below the pads of the upper row. For the third bar - similarly.
- The maximum number of trims is three.
- For employees of higher staff, the upper part of the shoe is located 70 mm below the line of the ledge of the lapel, for other persons - lower by 90 mm.
Ribbons, badges of the employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

- Attachment of ribbons of orders or medals together with the corresponding signs is not allowed.

The rules for wearing insignia for employees of the Ministry of Emergencies have something in common with the same rules for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:
- When dressing in the listed order, wearing is allowed: state awards of the Russian Federation and the USSR, departmental, foreign awards, other badges allowed by Order No. 364. For other forms of clothing it is permissible to wear state, departmental awards, ribbons of foreign medals, badges permitted by the Order.
- The wearing of medals of public organizations is prohibited.
- The Gold Star medals of the Russian Federation and the USSR, the Hammer and Sickle, are attached to the left side of the chest 10 mm to the left of the lapel or collar so that the lower side of the medal block is at the level of the corner of these clothing elements.
- Orders and medals with pads are located on the left side of the chest, without this element - on the right.
- When attaching two or more medals, their pads are connected to a common bar. They are placed from the center of the chest to the left or right side.
- Medals that do not fit on one row are located in the second and subsequent rows. Their bars must go for top-level medals.
- The first strap should be 70 mm below the lapel, the distance between the medals is 5-10 mm, between the straps - 10 mm.
