In modern conditions, a person no longer has to hunt in order to survive. But we were hunters for a very long period of time, much longer than modern society exists. At that time, no one had any idea who the person was. Is he a carnivorous or herbivorous creature? For hundreds of thousands of years we lived on a diet that consisted mainly of meat with the addition of a variety of berries and fruits. People went through many stages of evolution and turned into predators, killing to get meat, the most nutritious source of energy.

A world without predators

What happens if lions, tigers and bears snatch from their natural habitat? The consequences will be disastrous. The growth of populations of antelopes, giraffes and zebras will no longer be restrained, and they will grow rapidly. This process will be completely uncontrolled. Steppes and savannahs trampled by huge herds will turn into deserts.

Each living species is a kind of spoke in one huge wheel of life. Remove one group, for example, predators, and the wheel will not be able to support the weight of those who remain.

Who are people now - predators or herbivores?

From a young age, they inspire us that the best diet is the one with the least amount of meat and fat. The justification of such a theory is relatively simple, although it is not based on any scientific data:

Small amount of fat consumed = Small amount of stored fat.

In modern society, the problem of overweight has gained immense importance. However, everything that we taught at school contradicts the fact that obese people eat mainly carbohydrates. Given that carbohydrates account for up to 80% of the modern human diet, think about whether there is a connection between their consumption and the obesity epidemic? And what are the reasons that type 2 diabetes began to appear in young children for the first time in our history?

Could supposedly “healthy” carbohydrates be one of the reasons for the deterioration of human health? And who is man by nature: predator or herbivore, should we hunt like our ancestors, or is our role in preserving the animal kingdom, which is declining at an alarming rate? Do we need meat, or should vegetables and cereals replace the animals humans used to hunt?

Vegetarianism makes a person dumber

Vegetarianism in the past 20-30 years has become popular, as never before, and theoretically there are reasons for this. Vegetarianism, like its more radical branch called veganism, is based on the idea that killing animals is a crime. That people are better suited for a plant-based diet. That there is no need to kill animals, so do not do this.

Joining forces with environmental organizations, vegetarians have declared their lifestyle “an environmentally friendly way of life and nutrition.” There are no problems with this.

But read what Lirr Keith, a former supporter of veganism, and now the author of the book “The Vegetarian Myth” writes: “Agriculture is carnivorous: it feeds on the ecosystem itself, while devouring it without a trace.” Agriculture is the basis of the ideology of vegetarians and vegans. They want to convince people to eat more cereals, cereals and soy, as they believe that refusing to eat meat will allow us to save animals, and then the whole planet.

Further, Lirr says: “The truth is that agriculture is the most destructive form of human activity for the planet, and an increase in its volume will not save us. The truth is also that farming requires the complete destruction of the entire ecosystem. It’s also true that life is impossible without death: no matter what you eat, someone will die to feed you. ”

Our goal is not to convince vegetarians or vegans. Each person is determined exactly how he should eat. We just want to shed light on some facts and decide who the people are: predators or herbivores.

The irony of fate: vegetarians are trying to save animals and the entire planet, while contributing to the destruction of the natural habitat of the same animals and the resulting massive extinction of species around the world.

Is vegetarian health good?

Dr. Michael Eads, author of The Power of Protein, argues that a vegetarian lifestyle doesn't make sense, since humans are carnivorous by nature. Let's make a comparison of predators, herbivores, people. Just look at the human gastrointestinal tract and compare it with a lion or pork. Inside, we are built in the same way as a lion: with one stomach, designed to digest nutritious foods of animal origin, which we eat for hundreds of thousands of years.

The structure of our insides is different from the structure of herbivores with several stomachs, designed to break down and digest grains that are poor in nutrients, which are now littered with our pantries and refrigerators.

Vitamin B12 is needed for our existence, and meat is the best source, apart from special additives. Without vitamin B12, you will die.

Passion for 2 million years

If you think that the human diet during the Paleolithic period is only a passing passion or tribute to fashion, then tell me, what other fashion has existed for more than 2 million years? It’s not so fleeting, it’s a hobby, isn’t it?

Do you still think that our place in the food pyramid is not at the very top, next to other predators? Or is red meat and high protein diet unhealthy? And that vegetarianism is the best way to eat for humans?

Comparison of predators, herbivores and people regarding the physical structure we have already conducted. Now we will discuss the theory that humanity has evolved in a direction that has made us more fit for a vegetarian lifestyle. The recent introduction of large quantities of cereals into our diet results in some not very good evolutionary changes:

a) Nose constriction, which makes breathing difficult.

b) The reduction of the jaws, because of which we now have to remove the teeth of wisdom.

c) A reduction in brain volume (that is, a vegetarian diet makes humanity dumber).

Intensive development of human intelligence falls on the period when the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids has increased. In short, we began to eat more meat, so after a while our brain became larger. If we remained vegetarians, as we were 2 million years ago, we would not even learn to talk in coherent sentences. Our brain would not receive the nutrients necessary for it to evolve and evolve.

We have adapted to eat food that is very different from a modern diet. Recently, a scientific expedition was organized by one institute in order to study the bones of ancient people, to find out exactly what our ancestors did about 10, 000 years ago, and to understand who the people were: predators or herbivores. In science, there are many theories based on tools, weapons, and bones that were found in burials, but until recently there was no way to find out what they ate, to which category primitive people belonged, predators or herbivores.

It turned out that in an era when in the process of evolution there was an increase in brain, physical strength and growth, people ate mainly meat and fish, as well as a much more diverse set of vegetables, nuts and berries than we can afford today. Cereals, soybeans and rice as a food source did not exist.

Why else do people need to eat meat?

The fact is that the liver releases protein gradually. If you work harder, the body will release more glucose. In essence, this should provide a steady level of energy throughout the day. Therefore, it is best to start each meal with the main source of protein. Supplement this protein with a large amount of fruits and nuts (rich in omega-3 fatty acids necessary for the brain), and you will get a nutrition method that will increase testosterone production, increase energy level and ability to concentrate. In addition, such a diet will help you maintain your body at peak performance for a longer time than stimulants that lead to depletion.

The man of the Paleolithic era was constantly moving, which can not be said about us. We slide down a slippery slope, which can not only destroy the planet, but also nullify all the millennia of the evolution of the human species, which led us to where we are. After the appearance of cereals (as well as dairy products) in our diet, we received a set of diseases, infections, and allergic reactions that have never happened before in history.

Meat is not only healthy, it is the main product that we need.
