The life of Maryana Igorevna Kovaleva began in 1959. On March 5, a girl was born in the family of Igor Vladimirovich and Inna Nikolaevna. There is practically no information about her childhood and young years. It is known that in 1999 she graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of St. Petersburg. At that time she was already 40 years old.

Personal life
When the girl was 19 years old, she married Vladimir Rodovansky. Maryana Tsoi in her youth wore exactly this surname. She calls her first marriage stupid. She just wanted a free relationship and banal cohabitation, but her parents could not allow this, and therefore had to formalize everything officially. Viktor Tsoi was her second husband. There was nothing interesting or unusual in their familiarity - a banal acquaintance at a friend's birthday. At the time of meeting, she was 23, and Victor was only 19 years old.
They signed much later, after 3 years. There was no traditional wedding, because there was nothing to do it. In 1985, in a white jacket and a light striped skirt, the bride stepped under the crown. And then life in a communal room and an eternal lack of money, even for food. It is worth saying that many informals came to their wedding to congratulate the newlyweds.
In the same year, a son was born in the family of Tsoev. For a whole month and a half they could not agree on what name to call him. I wanted to choose an option that would be in harmony with an unusual surname. After regular discussions on this subject, his wife threatened that she would register him as Christopher if his father did not agree to the name of Alexander. They decided on that.
Short family relationships
The first marriage of Maryana was short-lived, and she decided so herself. The second marriage was also short-lived, but not by her will. Three years before her death, Victor left her for another woman, but before that a few more years. In the meantime, the couple lives in the present, they walk the streets of Leningrad, regardless of the time of year, huddle in their little room, go to the beach in the summer, and there they behave like carefree teenagers: they swim naked, drink and sing, ride a hare in transport.
On one of these trips to the Crimea, student guides opened them, but they did not begin to fine them when they recognized the young Tsoi, who was listened to in the basements. At that time, Victor sang all the way so that he broke his voice and when he arrived in Crimea he could no longer speak. “I see how the waves wash away traces in the sand” - this is just the song of that time. And although their money ran out quickly at sea, the young informals did not consider this a problem, they handed over bottles to have a penny to cover their needs. Caught and fried fish, and spent their days. In 1987, Viktor was invited to the shooting of the film "ACCA", where he met Natalya Rozlogova, introduced her and Maryana. She understood everything and did not start scandals, in 1989 they stopped their relationship.
Close friends
It rarely happens, but they remained friends. They didn’t get divorced; she was Tsoi’s wife to the end. Mariyana's biography is constantly intertwined with his biography. After Victor left the family, he often visited them when he was free from work, always devoting time to his son and taking him with him. He said that they have a son, which means that they will forever remain a family.

Mariyana Tsoy had to go through a lot. Biography points to many difficult moments. Three years later, when Victor left the family, he died in a car accident. Mariyana built her relationship with another person. She lived in a civil marriage with Ricochet, in the last years of her life she acted as its producer. She also produced A.Zaslavsky, S. Eglazin and was engaged in the installation of the monument to Tsoi on the Arbat.

In all this tumultuous activity, Marian was struck by cancer, she did not even want to pronounce this word and begged nowhere and never to mention it. She believed that she would manage and did not want to be spared. But on June 27, 2005 she was gone. She died in her apartment in St. Petersburg, and she was buried not far from the place where Viktor Tsoi was buried. The last trip to Maryan was carried out by relatives and ex-musicians of Kino. In the same year, Maryana's father also died, mother survived her daughter for 12 years and died in 2017.
Hard trials
When the Mariyans were diagnosed, she made every effort to overcome the disease. Seven years before his death, a malignant tumor was diagnosed and an urgent operation was performed to remove the tumor on the chest, but soon metastases went all over the body. She turned to the best specialists in this field and spent months in expensive clinics. But at some point, the doctors abandoned her, saying that everything was already useless. In the last months of her life Mariyana Tsoy looked terrible, there was no photo of this time, the woman was categorically against the dissemination of this information in the press. Her one arm was the same as the body in volume; she could not lift it. It was a painful death from cancer, which lasted for 6 years. A number of operations and exposures were performed, but this did not produce results.
When the days are numbered
Realizing that the results of the treatment were not favorable, Mariyana Tsoi reconciled with the musicians of the Kino group, because until that time there were constant litigations over copyright for melodies and arrangements of Tsoi’s songs. The second half was right for Victor's parents. Before her death, Maryana managed to transfer the rights to Tsoi’s legacy to her son. So the long-standing quarrel was ended, and Alexander will receive 50% of royalties, the rest falls on the former performers of the Kino group.
Those close to her were in recent days, they say that she knew the day of her death, she whispered that she had 3 days left, and went down. She lay for the last 3 days in a coma, her arms and legs swollen. Mom Inna Nikolaevna, son Sasha and husband were with her all the time.
For mother it was a terrible loss, for three days she did not give her daughter's body to the morgue, she cried all the time and did not talk to anyone. All questions of the funeral were decided by the son.
Mariyana really didn’t want her son to follow in his father’s footsteps, and did everything possible to prevent this. Therefore, he went to Moscow, learned English, was engaged in textile design, worked as a system programmer. At five, he lost his father, and at 20 lost his mother. There is information that in recent years he plays the bass and tries to write music.

On the last journey
On June 29, Maryanu was taken on the last journey at the Theological Cemetery. The Yenin Rock Club undertook the funeral, there were more than 300 people at the funeral.
