The museum began its work in 1991 thanks to the Kronstadt Club of Local Lore. The Kronstadt Museum of History allows visitors to travel at different time periods and familiarize themselves with the 310-year-old history of the city. In the museum you can learn about the processes of building forts and buildings of the city, discover the life of ordinary residents of Kronstadt and the sailors living in it, listen to the traditions that existed earlier and have survived to this day. The new exposition of the museum did not ignore the tragic events that took place at the beginning of the 20th century: the revolution of 1905-1917, the Civil War and Intervention, the Kronstadt uprising of 1921. Museum Creation
The Museum of the History of Kronstadt was created thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts of the local history club of the city. Also in 1991, they were supported in this endeavor by employees of the Kronstadt district administration.
