Sergey Yuryevich Belyakov is one of the first vivid characters of the popular Russian sketch show “Our Russia”. The character’s image reveals the essence of many Russian men who sit on their sofas in front of TV screens and comment on each bright event from the world of news, sharing their “expert opinion”. It is this image that Sergey Belyakov, a home commentator from Taganrog, conveys. He sits and talks to the TV, as if with a living person. Sergey is a typical Russian man, whose age is approximately 40 years. He is very lazy and pessimistic, watches TV, sitting on a red sofa, and often gets into an argument with television announcers. It doesn’t matter to Belyakov what to criticize, he will do it both during advertising and at the time of news. Sergei Belyakov will always find what to add to the monologue of the speaker and will always do it sparklingly and funny.
Sergey is married to an “elephant”, as he calls his wife, who has obvious problems with being overweight (his wife is a famous actress Julia Sules). Sergey and the “elephant” have a son Denis, who is fifteen years old. He does not study well, smokes behind garages and quietly drinks alcohol with his close friends.

Sergey Belyakov, like most Russian peasants, does not like oligarchs, senior officials, government officials, law enforcement agencies (in particular, traffic cops), sexual minorities and modern popular music. He hates Timati, Malakhov, the Safronov brothers and many other annoying representatives of Russian television and show business. Belyakov likes sports TV channels, porn films and erotic magazines.
