Monuments to fairy tale heroes
Everyone in childhood loved fairy tales. Parents read them to us before going to bed, and we, in turn, read them to our children. And this love of fairy tales was interpreted in unusual monuments in Russian cities.
In 2001, a sculpture "Golden Fish" was installed in Astrakhan. She became the city’s mascot, and residents often come up to her to make a wish.
And in Yekaterinburg, at a crossroads in Tagansky Park, Ilya Muromets, a hero from Russian fairy tales, proudly sits in the saddle of a concrete horse. He fixed his eyes on the very stone on which, according to the tale, it was written that he would gain or lose, depending on the chosen path.

A unique iron mosquito stands in Norilsk. A huge two-meter bloodsucker amazes the audience with its formidable look and empty eyes from the headlights.

In Moscow, not far from the Novodevichy Convent, a string of ducklings headed by their duck mother walks along the street. This unusual monument to Russia has a history connected with the USA.
