Being the daughter of a famous person is very pleasant, but at the same time responsible. After all, you can not hit the face in the dirt, you must always keep the brand and be worthy of your parent. The only daughter of Leonid Gaidai, Oksana, knows this firsthand. She did not follow in his footsteps, but the director himself saw talent in her and really wanted her to get an acting education. But Oksana Gaidai chose another profession, far from the one that her mother possessed - the famous movie actress Nina Grebeshkova. If you remember, it was she who played the role of the wife of Gorbunkov (Nikulin) in the famous comedy “The Diamond Arm”.

Oksana Gaidai: biography. Childhood, parents

She was the only daughter of the beloved director and popular actress. Parents were inseparable from the moment they met and, as they say, only Leonid’s death separated them. Both of them were students of VGIK, but were not classmates. We met then, the future director was working on his graduation work, and he was helped in this by the young Nina, a student of elementary courses. Filming ended very late, and Leonid escorted the actress to her house. So they got closer, and after some time he proposed to her, which Nina agreed with pleasure. The couple did not have a wedding with a walk. They went to the registry office and modestly registered their marriage. In 1956, Oksana Gaidai was born to the couple - the daughter of Leonid Gaidai (her photos are posted in the article). There were no other children, despite the spouses' great desire to have a large family. They were too busy, constantly on the set, on the road. In a word, all their love and attention went to Ksenia alone.

Parenting

Oksana Gaidai grew up by her age, a developed, very smart and inquisitive girl. Parents in every possible way developed her abilities. Later, she often recalled how interesting her childhood was, what a warm atmosphere reigned in their family. Leonid Ivovich loved to read various funny stories aloud to his daughter. At the same time, his intonations were inimitable. The girl laughed to colic in her stomach. She especially remembered reading the stories of Jerome or Darrell about the wild world. Despite the great busyness of the parents, Oksana, unlike the children of other filmmakers, today recalls that they had a very normal family. So, in her memory episodes of their trips to the zoo, circus, etc. were preserved. Father never talked with her, but treated like an adult. She learned to write, read, early, perfectly recited poetry, and she also knew how to reason in a very adult way. Oksana, today, of course, understands that most of the household problems in the family lay on Mom's shoulders. But she did not show at all that she was a burden to her, and did everything with pleasure. And yet Oksana Gaidai today understands that her mother, a representative of the creative profession, could not all be a burden. And in general, perhaps the most characteristic feature of Nina Pavlovna was caring. First of all, she thought about all her relatives and relatives: about her mother, brothers, about her husband and daughter, then about her brother-in-law and granddaughter, when she was born. In a word, she was a human donor, donating by nature.

Family values

The Gaidaev family was not too open: there were neither large gatherings in their house, nor frequent trips to visit, etc. Oksana recalls that only occasionally did they go to a country house for barbecue. Could sometimes get together with friends and go on a picnic with crayfish, but no more. Perhaps they did not have time for all this, since they all wound together on film expeditions. If this coincided with the daughter's summer vacation, then she was also taken with her. By the way, Oksana Gaidai studied at an English special school, and Nina Pavlovna identified her there. She dreamed that the girl received a very good education. Oksana spent about two hours in public transport - from home to school and back. But she was very successful in learning languages, which greatly helped her in her future profession. And she always liked cognitive games, she was fond of geography, mathematics, history and grew up a very erudite girl.

The brightest of childhood memories

Surely everyone will say that the best, or rather the most popular and favorite of Gaidai's comedies, is the "Caucasian Captive." The daughter of Gaidai Oksana (see photo here) went to Alushta with her parents. By the way, in the picture, one of the female doctors who came for Shurik is played by Nina Grebeshkova. Despite the fact that the father was not against the participation of his daughter in his paintings, the girl did not strive for this at all. And Leonid Iovich, who saw in her the potential of an actress, sometimes had to persuade her to star in any episode. The only film in which their entire family took part was the film "On the Road." Oksana played the role of a three-year-old boy. Naturally, then no one asked her for consent. But later, when her father offered to continue his education at VGIK or "Pike", the girl firmly told him that she did not want to be an actress and while sitting by the phone waiting for the call of some director offering her to star in her film. She needed serious and stable work, and she decided to go her own way.

Adulthood

After graduating from an English special school, Oksana Gaidai entered MGIMO at the Faculty of International Economics. As you can see, her father could not persuade her to become a successor to the family tradition. But Nina Pavlovna was pleased, because once it was she who made her choice in favor of a language special school and as a result of this, the girl was fluent in two languages. Mother was happy that her daughter would have an excellent promising profession and career opportunity.

Personal life

Oksana Gaidai decided to get married in her student years. Her chosen one and future husband also studied at the Institute of International Relations. Both were very young, and Ksyusha's parents were at first opposed to their daughter's early marriage. Surely Nina Pavlovna forgot that when she herself ran down the aisle, or rather to the registry office, she was a sophomore. When it came to her daughter, she imagined everything in a different light. She didn’t want her to hurry, because her whole life is ahead. But Oksana was unshakable, and did as she saw fit. Parents really wanted the young people to live with them, but the stubborn Ksyusha also did not agree, and then the father-director gave them their own housing. Of course, Nina Pavlovna at first did not want to let her out of her custody, often visited young people, brought various goodies of her own preparation, etc. After some time, her daughter and her husband went to Malaysia, and it was there that her daughter was born, again, the only granddaughter of Leonid Gaidai and Nina Grebeshkova. In Asia, they lived for almost a year.

Olya is the granddaughter of the great director

The daughter of Oksana Gaidai (see photo above), according to friends, is an exact copy of her grandfather Leni. The girl was very connected with her grandparents. They first saw her granddaughter when she was already a year old. Before that, the girl grew up in faraway Malaysia. The baby often forced her grandfather to play various children's games with her, for example, in the "hospital". Grandfather next to his granddaughter felt really happy. For some reason she called him Peters. Everyone was surprised, although the “roots” of this name were rooted in the distant past: when baby Olga asked grandfather Lenya: “Who are you?”, He answered her jokingly, “Petya”. Oksana could not get enough of such a relationship between her daughter and father. Here the granddaughter liked to act in films at the grandfather. He did not have to beg her. She was always ready. In the painting by Gaidai “Private Detective. Operation "Cooperation", Olenka played a cameo role together with the famous Natalya Krachkovskaya. Gaidai really wanted her granddaughter to also be involved in the Wick. Nevertheless, after graduation, young Olga followed in the footsteps of her parents and also entered MGIMO.
