Opening of the first stations

The construction of the Moscow Metro began in 1931. The first train left four years later. His route lay from the Sokolniki station to the Culture Park. A little later, the "Okhotny Ryad", "Arbat", "Smolenskaya", "Kominterna Street" ("Alexander Garden") were opened. In 1963, the University metro station was opened. The construction of Vernadsky Prospekt and South-West began much later.

Such a short Sokolniki line

Everyone in our country knows the film "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!". But few people paid attention to the fact that the hero of the lyrical comedy, returning home from an unplanned trip to the Northern capital, overcomes the distance from Vnukovo airport home, using land transport. Evgeny Lukashin lived, as you know, on Stroiteley Street, located near the University station. But in 1975, the final stop on the Sokolnicheskaya line was Park Kultury.

Even if the events of Ryazanov’s film took place in 2016, after the opening of the Salaryevo metro station, the film’s hero would not have been able to avoid a bus ride. After all, from Vnukovo to the subway, you can still only get by taxi or public transport. However, in this case, Lukashin would have arrived in just fifteen minutes from the airport to Salaryevo (metro station). And then he would go down to the subway and drive five stops. But the scheme of the subway in the seventies, in contrast to the current state of the subway, was very modest. Muscovites and guests of the capital had to overcome considerable distances on the surface. However, there were almost no traffic jams then.

Two hundredth station of the Moscow metro

The opening of the Salaryevo metro station took place the same year, when the construction of another Sokolnicheskaya line station, Rumyantsevo, was completed. This event was part of the New Moscow project. The opening of the Salaryevo metro station was also a landmark event in the history of the Moscow Metro. After all, she is two hundredth in a row.

One of the oldest and largest companies in Russia is Metrostroy. Salaryevo (Moscow) - a settlement in which a substantial part of the territory was fenced in 2013 in connection with the work carried out by employees of this organization. This caused some inconvenience to local residents, but could not but rejoice them. After all, the opening of the station greatly facilitated their fate. From now on, in order to get to the city center, they have to travel in the metro only seven stops, that is, spend no more than twenty-five minutes. Where is the metro Salaryevo located? What was previously located where the oldest metropolitan metro line ends?

Salaryevo

In 2010, the population of this village was less than four hundred people. Not so long ago, Salaryevo became part of the Leninsky district. An ancient church was located on the territory of this settlement, and next to it was a cemetery where participants of the Patriotic War of 1812 were buried. Now a monument to the memory of valiant Russian soldiers has been erected here. There are six streets in the village. Today its population is about a thousand people. Nearby is the Salaryevo landfill, where waste is buried.

But back to the metro station, the exit from which is carried out on one of the streets of this settlement.

Architectural appearance

The project was developed by the staff of the Bureau "Inzhproekt". By the way, it has been revised several times. Initially, it was assumed that the central hall will include three pillars. They will diverge upward, which will accommodate the maximum number of passengers. In 2014, the project was slightly changed. The nuances that did not suit professionals, it is not easy for a person who is far from architectural to understand. As for the appearance, here everyone, regardless of specialty, can form his own opinion. As this usually happens, several specialists participated in the competition for the design of the new metro station. Options were proposed in both gray and beige shades. The choice fell on the project, suggesting the presence on the walls of contrasting panels.
