Fishing in the Krasnoyarsk Territory can be very productive if you know the lakes, rivers and fish that live there. For example, the Tiberkul reservoir. This is the largest lake in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This is one of the most beautiful reservoirs. In 1987, the lake received the status of a natural monument.

Lake location

Lake Tiberkul is located in the valley of the river. Kazyr, on the Kryazhino ridge. 130 kilometers from the district center of Kuragino and 30 kilometers from the village of Cheremshanka. Description of the lake

Lake Tiberkul is framed by picturesque boulders and stones left after the descent of a giant glacier, which formed natural beauties by moving stones and gravel. As a result, many beautiful islets formed. Tiberkul is often called Heavenly Lake, as rumor has it that God has sent this body of water.

Lake Tiberkul has an area of more than 23 square kilometers, a length of 15 km and a width of 6 km. The depth of the reservoir is up to 51 m. Five rivers flow into the lake - Yeltsovka, Varlamikha and Cheremshanka. The other two are nameless. From Tiberkul flows the Tyukhtyat River (otherwise Tyukhdet). Its length is 62.5 km. This is the right tributary of Kazyr.

The lake is connected with Small Tiberkul by a deep channel. Winter snows and summer rains feed the pond (but to a much lesser extent). There are a lot of swamps in the area of the lake and other nearby water bodies. Therefore, you can drive on roads in the summer only on all-terrain vehicles. Lake Tiberkul is surrounded by taiga - a mixed forest and cedars. Fir mainly grows on the shores of the lake.

In many places sheer cliffs come ashore. Some reach 20 meters or more in height. White large water lilies grow in numerous small coves and bays of the lake. When they begin to bloom, Tiberkul looks simply fabulous. Spring on the lake comes late, only in April. Often it is lingering.

From ice, the reservoir is completely freed only after mid-May. Then the sunny and warm weather sets. The water of the lake warms up quickly and reaches 23 degrees in the summer. In Tiberkul, crystal clear water. It is so transparent that the bottom is visible even at great depths. The water is fresh, and its salt content is very low.

Islands of Lake Tiberkul

There are many islets on Lake Tiberkul. Some are rocky, but there are also overgrown with shrubs and birches. In the northern part of the lake, closer to the center, is the largest - Cedar. Its area is more than 500 square meters. The rest - small and larger - have their own name. They are scattered throughout the pond. Small, nameless, only nine.
