Memorial Park Pobeda (Cheboksary) begins its history in 1980. The first monument appeared in it - the Monument of military glory. The park received its official name in 2003 after an order from the head of the city administration on reconstruction. Then it merged with the Palace of Culture named after P.P. Khuzangay.
The first monument carries a deep meaning; it still reminds people of the years of the war. Mother shows her son the road to a long journey, where he will fight with enemies. Her heart is filled with bitterness and pain, as she parted with her child. But like the rest of the mother, the woman does this in the name of saving the Fatherland.
