Park "Nut Grove" as a well-maintained holiday destination was opened in 2011. Today it is introduced into excursion routes and continues to develop infrastructure to attract guests and residents of the city.
Appearance story
In the post-war period, building was difficult in all cities. The central part of Anapa was scorched earth and destroyed houses. To decorate the city and give it a thick shadow on a hot Black Sea noon, in the early 50s, activists and the local Zelenstroy began planting different varieties of trees. Many of them took root well, and now there is a special attraction that Anapa is proud of.
Park "Nut Grove" got its name due to the fact that most of the trees planted were nuts. The grown seedlings began to give a plentiful harvest and the surrounding residents with pleasure came to pick it. The terrain was open - without fences and guards. Under the crowns of trees, real festivities were arranged on holidays and simply in connection with a good mood - picnics, barbecue, gatherings. The inhabitants of Anapa gave their own name to the extensive square - "Nutlet".
Beautification
Anapa gradually grew. Park "Nut Grove" was in the almost center of the city on the High Bank. Time is inexorable, and old trees began to fall, forming impassable plots and creating a threat to vacationers. The descent to the sea from the park zone was not equipped and was more suitable for fearless climbers, winding paths were laid by local residents and holidaymakers amid a pile of stones.
The city authorities decided to ennoble, clear the space and create a civilized resting place in the 2000s. During the reconstruction of the green zone, a set of activities was carried out and new facilities appeared that now complement the image of Anapa. After clearing and reorganizing old trees, the Walnut Grove Park was planted with young seedlings, and paved walking paths appeared. In addition to the trees, flowerbeds and green lawns with trimmed grass appeared. To create a beautiful and convenient descent to the Black Sea, the Central Embankment was extended by 1 kilometer.
Current state
Many vacationers are attracted by the summer of Anapa. The Walnut Grove Park is one of the most visited sites in the city. Its infrastructure is gradually being supplemented: cozy benches have appeared, in the evening, paths and remote corners of the green zone are illuminated by bright street lamps. Both locals and holiday-makers go to the grove with pleasure. The administration plans to fill the place with antique themes: arrange stylized sculptures and sculptural groups in honor of the ancient city of Gorgilia, the predecessor of Anapa.
In the near future, cultural events and open-air concerts will be held in the recreation area, which will entertain Anapa vacationers. In a fit of inspiration and wanting to decorate Anapa as best as possible, the Walnut Grove Park was turned into the largest in size and variety of varieties of rose gardens on the Black Sea coast. Along the alleys of the park and in the flower beds, more than 6, 000 bushes of beautiful roses of various colors are planted.
A real highlight was made in the design of the recreation area by the “singing” color fountain, which recently adorned the Walnut Grove Park in Anapa. Description of the water jets dancing to the musical and color accompaniment is practically impossible - this spectacular sight captivates and captivates adult and children's hearts. It is better to see it with your own eyes than to hear or read about it. Near the fountain there is a bright playground with slides, a small set of fitness equipment, a variety of swings. After all, about 1.5 thousand deciduous and almost 1 thousand conifers are planted in the park, but few people know their names.
