The Soviet Union literally replete with chic actors and cult artists. True, the authorities of that time were not entirely adequate, and therefore many of the creative people went to jail for no good reason. Here is a list of actors imprisoned due to paranoia by the authorities.

Georgy Zhzhenov

This actor has been behind bars already twice. The first time he was sent to prison for the fact that he did not go to exile with his brother. He was on the verge, but thanks to help from the director Sergey Gerasimov, Zhenzhenov was released, and he even managed to get a job.
