At the beginning of the 2000s, a terrible thing happened in the city of Shakhty - a little boy who was only 6 years old disappeared. His mother lost her son in the market, but later it became clear that he was stolen by gypsies. His name is Vasily Musofranov. The boy lived with new “parents”; he was not allowed to attend school; instead, he worked. At 18, Vasily was able to escape from the camp and, thanks to the work of the police, was able to find his relatives. However, happiness did not last long, because Vasily could not live with his native parents.

New life

In November 2000, Vasily Musofranov was kidnapped. Then he was only six years old. His mother left the boy unattended for just a minute, but that was enough for the boy to be in the hands of gypsies. They managed to deftly outsmart the baby. They treated him with chocolate and offered to get into the car. The naive child, of course, agreed. Many blame the parents of the boy who abused alcohol. They believe that if parents devoted enough time to raising their child, then he would not agree to go with strangers.

Basil really got into the car, because he just wanted to ride. But the journey dragged on. The boy was taken to Volgograd. There he received a new name - Dmitry Mihai, his hair was dyed black. While still very young, Vasily began to forget his former life, which was quite convenient for the kidnappers. But they still could not take risks, so they did not send the child to school. But they quickly found a job for him. The boy was collecting scrap metal. All the money I received was given to gypsies. But I could not learn to read and write.

Long search

After the abduction, a criminal case was opened under the article “Murder”. The mother continued to search for her son all the time, but this did not produce any results. Close families claim that Vasya was in the camp all this time. It was also difficult because there was not a single photograph of the child. For all six years, parents have not bothered to photograph their child. And it is unlikely that the picture could help with something. It was possible to recognize the child only by the birthmark on the chest.

Volgograd police noticed Dmitry Mihai only in 2016. Then he was able to escape from the camp and began an independent life, wandering around the city. Once, he wanted to spend the night in the interior of a strange car, where police officers found him. At that time, the guy was already 22 years old. At the police station, he said that he was stolen by gypsies when he was a child. He himself did not remember this, but learned from acquaintances when he was a teenager. The police immediately remembered the case of Vasily Musofranov and identified the boy by his birthmark.

Return to family

The kidnappers managed to escape punishment, since the statute of limitations had long expired. But Vasily himself quickly ended up in prison.

Unfortunately, when he was found, his mother and father had already died. He also refused to return to the Gypsies. Therefore, he was given the address of his sister, who at that time lived in Rostov-on-Don. However, their life together did not last long. His sister Galina talked about the fact that his brother did not start studying, his upbringing also left much to be desired. Galina could not influence his behavior, raise a brother, give him at least some kind of education. He was not interested. Therefore, relations between relatives did not work out.
