The Old Believers believed that all mechanisms for the most part carry the influence of the unclean, and those who contact them all the time easily succumb to vice.
What does the word "depravity" mean?
In ancient Russia, people with their own point of view, leading an immoral lifestyle, were censured. Thus, others expressed their disapproval and condemnation of the actions of the condemned.
Depravity is the actions condemned by society or non-compliance with generally accepted moral principles. Most often, the commandments set forth in the Bible were taken as a measure. The main passions were considered: gluttony, adultery, greed, anger, pride, vanity, despondency.

It is impossible to say exactly how to determine the degree of perverse. For every living creature on the planet this has its own framework, depending on the environment, education and personal qualities.
If we compare the inhabitants of prestigious areas and slums, their framework of depravity will be completely different. For example, the birth of a child by a girl under the age of sixteen is criticized by the public.
A dark-skinned girl who became a mother without graduating from school is the norm for the “black” quarters of America. For her, perversity is an abstract concept. Most often, receiving a “street” education, people from such places are forced to work hard to break into the higher level of the social ladder.
The most commonly understood concept is sexual perversity. This is something that is not talked about openly, that they try to hide from others. It is impossible to say whether it is right to consider the desire to diversify your intimate life as perversity. Someone considers liberated behavior in the matrimonial bedroom as depravity and immoral behavior, and someone - the norm.
