In Kamchatka there is a small closed city Vilyuchinsk, which is impossible for an ordinary traveler to visit. It was created thanks to the unification of several villages in 1968: Seldevaya, Primorsky and Rybachy.

The former village of Kamchatka, Rybachy, is one of the districts of this city. Until 1954, this village was called New Tarja.

The settlement of Rybachy Kamchatka is included in the port city, which has the status of a closed territorial-administrative entity. This is a city of divers, located on the shores of Krasheninnikov Bay (Avacha Bay) 25 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The seaport has the status of ZATO Base of nuclear missile cruisers ("Wasp Nest").

Vilyuchinsk is most likely not a city with a population of just over 25 thousand people, but an association of naval bases located near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Its entire territory is a closed zone for visitors, which has its own infrastructure: schools, kindergartens and Christian churches.

A little to the west of it (25 kilometers) is the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and to the north (26 km) is the Yelizovo airport. The population is just over 24.5 thousand people (2005 census). In 1996, this figure was of greater importance - 37.4 thousand inhabitants. The bulk of the population are military personnel with members of their families.

Geographically, the city of Vilyuchinsk is divided into three separate microdistricts located at some distance from each other. It:

  • the largest by area Primorsky “sleeping” area;
  • Herring - the place of docking of submarines;
  • District of the former village of Rybachy.

Location and description of the village

The small village of Kamchatka, Rybachy is located in the Avacha Bay, on the shore of the Tarja-Krasheninnikov bay. Its territory is mainly located on a narrow isthmus between the bays of Bogatyrevka and Krasheninnikov. The year of its foundation with the name New Tarja - 1931. Since 1954 it was renamed into the village of Rybachy.

Today in this region, which is part of the city of Vilyuchinsk, submarines of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation are based. Until 1994, this was Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-53.

Today, the village of Rybachy Kamchatka, which is a residential area of ​​Vilyuchinsk, differs slightly from its "main" city in its landscapes. Streets mostly curl in the form of a serpentine, and all buildings are located on the principle of a cascade.

Rybachy settlement (Kamchatka, Vilyuchinsk-3) is the place of residence of submariners and their families. There are no geysers or active volcanoes in the vicinity of the village, however there is a surprisingly beautiful Pacific coast - Stanitsky and Bezymyannaya bays, which can be reached in about an hour or two. Not far away is the Bay of Salvation, in which in mid-June there is an amazing phenomenon - spawning of Uyk (capelin). There are also two lakes: Vilyui and Sarannaya.

The water area of ​​Krasheninnikov Bay is amazingly beautiful. In addition to various natural landscapes (forests, hills, volcanoes, ravines, picturesque cliffs and bays), here you can see many man-made attractions. These are open and closed docks, marinas with real submarines and tugboats. And the whole village of Rybachy looks great. All this can be seen, getting to the village on a regular regular bus (the path is 25 kilometers).

In the late 90s of the XX century, Orthodox churches were built on the territory of Vilyuchinsk: Apostle Andrew the First-Called (such a garrison plan is the only one in the entire Far East) and the Monk Seraphim of Sarov.
