The best method to determine the most worthy is primaries, party-wide national primary elections in batches. Only then the population directly votes. Most often, elections in America do not go against the results that the primaries showed.
Democrats and Republicans: Differences
The main difference is the electorate. Democrats are chosen by the poor, and Republicans are chosen by the middle class and more affluent citizens. The second difference in ideology. Republicans are centrists with a right deviation, and Democrats are in left positions. The third difference is in political views. Democrats advocate an increase in taxes and are not afraid of a budget deficit, while Republicans want to develop the economy and add aggression to politics. Elections in America clearly show what the people of the United States want at the moment - peace or war.
For the third term, no president in the United States can remain, since the Constitution provides for a special amendment to this effect. But everyone can sponsor their candidate there. And by the way, not by much. US presidential candidates are numerous this time. Why didn’t the younger Sanders win among the Democrats? The pre-election program that he introduced was characterized by a kind of socialist radicalism, and there are not so many leftists in the States today. The Clinton program has a much more even effect on different layers of the electorate.
Of course, Hillary was significantly “weary”, but still her program looks balanced, sometimes even slightly republican - it takes into account the interests of different segments of the population, including large business. Hillary’s application for the struggle for social and economic justice, for the development of business in the USA also attracts. Moreover, a very large-scale plan has been developed to put these principles into practice, in which economic growth is stimulated and wages are raised. How are the elections in America? People are carefully familiarizing themselves with candidate programs. The last time, Obama won the independent, with a very populist program. This time, the people didn’t take populism. Hillary convinced everyone with rationality: no radical reforms - only economic growth and stability.
Republicans
Here is still more controversial. The Republican Camp nominated fifteen candidates for the presidential election. Nevertheless, the top three for a long time went the same. First of all, Jeb Bush, the governor of Florida, the son of President George W. Bush and the brother of the president, another George W. Bush, was constantly called the first and most successful. To run for the presidency is a family tradition, but apparently not this time. Despite the rejection of all directorships in various companies, the primaries Jeb did not win.
The second most popular republican electorate was Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. Moreover, he was a favorite of the election race. However, he refused to fight for the presidency - popularity fell sharply, no one gave money for advertising, and the election campaign was planned wide and expensive. Voters among the Republicans somehow very sharply moved to support Trump, leaving Walker less than one and a half percent. The remaining candidates did not have the strength to fight with the charismatic billionaire and model enthusiast from Eastern Europe.

In addition to business, he was engaged in writing - a number of books on self-development and business were published. He is a member of the Republican Party. Trump was read for president for a long time, even from the beginning of the 80s, but at that time he himself had not decided yet whether he was left-wing or right-wing, and only in 2009 joined the Republican Party. Since his successes in economic knowledge and managerial skills are very high, he was nominated as a candidate already in 2011, but Trump was not ready to leave the business. In 2015, he matured to fight for the presidency. His campaign is very carefully thought out, like everything that Trump is up to.
First there was a visit to the state of New Hampshire - the stronghold of the Republicans, then followed a tour of California and Nevada, which he had previously widely sponsored. And, of course, Trump skillfully entertained the electorate, one might say, professionally. Some character traits made him popular: he is not a diplomat, he does not use euphemisms, he speaks openly about everything. Slightly eccentric, but true to truth - people like these.
