Biography
Sotnikova Elena was born in 1961, on April 29, in Moscow. Her father was a pilot, and her mother was a teacher. Dreams of an acting profession appeared at Sotnikova in early childhood. At the same time, preparations began for their implementation: the girl studied ice dancing, attended a drama club and performed at school concerts. After receiving secondary education, Elena went to the Shchukin school (workshop of L. Stavskaya).
In 1982, she graduated with honors and was accepted into the troupe of the theater, in which she serves today. Sotnikova rarely gives interviews. Once she admitted that if she had not managed to become an actress, she would have chosen the profession of a writer or psychologist. Almost nothing is known about the family life of Elena Sotnikova. The artist devotes her free time to traveling in Europe and the USA. Sotnikova also does gymnastics and swimming. In 2004, she began teaching at her native school.
