For example, a woman unhappy, tired, exhausted always looks older than her years, even if she is well-groomed, dressed smartly and with makeup. However, nothing adds women more age than a lack of attention to themselves. Appearance requires constant care. However, this does not negate the fact that skillfully selected makeup and hairstyle can rejuvenate a woman in an instant. The validity of this statement was proved in the UK by conducting a very unusual experiment.
Who initiated the experiment?
The experiment was conducted by a TV presenter of the popular show in the UK “10 years younger”, broadcast on Thursdays, Cherry Healy in close collaboration with a team of professionals, including: stylist Gemma Shepard, makeup artist Hannah Martin, cosmetologist Venna Okoye, cosmetologist surgeon Dr. Tapan Patel.
The purpose of the experiment was to clearly demonstrate to the audience the effectiveness of the tips and measures that are mentioned in a television program.
How was the experiment?
To participate in an unusual experiment, experts chose two women:
- Amanda, she is 41 years old, she is a police officer;
- Julia, she is 51 years old, she is a housewife and mother of two children.
Both women did not give up on themselves for a long time, they openly hated their reflection in the mirror, but simply did not understand what could be done besides expensive and lengthy procedures.
The participants in the experiment were photographed in their usual everyday way, without resorting to any tricks. These pictures were shown to passers-by in the central London streets and asked to indicate the age of each of the women. According to a survey of Amanda, people gave 46 years, and Julia - all sixty.

After the professionals from the TV show team worked with women, they were photographed again and again without using retouching or other special techniques.
