The actor is a native of the small Ukrainian town of Gostomel, he was born in September 1953. Anatoly Mateshko is not the only son of his parents, he has an older sister Olga, who has become an actress. At the age of 12, the boy first visited a relative in Moscow, where she lived during her studies at VGIK. After graduating from school, Anatoly Mateshko tried to become a student of one of the theater institutes in Kiev.
