The problem of a comfortable life for people with disabilities and free movement around the city exists around the world. And this is not surprising, because the ramps, on which people with disabilities could climb the stairs, are not installed everywhere. But one pensioner from Germany found an excellent solution. And the blocks from Lego constructor helped her in this.
Who is this heroine?
Rita Ebel is a 62-year-old pensioner living in the small German town of Hanau. When a woman was 35, she was in a severe car accident, forever confining her to a wheelchair. This greatly affected the daily life of Rita, since many areas of the city are not suitable for visiting disabled people.
Fortunately, a smart and enterprising pensioner managed to find a solution to the problem. To move and overcome various obstacles, she made ramps from Lego. At the same time, she not only improved her own life, but also helped hundreds of disabled people living in Hanau.
Every day she and her husband are engaged in the construction of entrances.
