For most of our fellow citizens, the salary of a primary school teacher seems unattractive. At the same time, most people will agree that rather complicated and responsible tasks are entrusted to this specialist. Let’s finally figure out what the salaries of primary school teachers in various parts of Russia are.

Teacher Responsibilities

First, find out what specific responsibilities are placed on the shoulders of primary school teachers - for what kind of work they receive a salary.

The tasks of an elementary school teacher include not only teaching children basic subjects, but also their education, inculcation of life values. After all, the foundation that will be laid on this step will play a decisive role both in the further education of the student and in the formation of his personal qualities.

In addition, the teacher checks the tasks performed by students, monitors their compliance with the discipline and internal routine of the school, draws up a curriculum, maintains a classroom journal, works with parents, encourages students to work independently in separate disciplines, promotes the development of creative abilities in children, engaged in their physical training.

As part of the primary school program, the teacher transfers basic knowledge to schoolchildren in the following subjects: mathematics, Russian, reading, physical education, religious and secular ethics, fine arts, music, nature studies, work, a foreign language. In schools in some regions of the country, additional subjects may be added.

The teacher should be neat, erudite, calm, possess high moral qualities and set an example for children in everything.

Only having all of the above qualities, knowledge and skills, the teacher can become a real highly qualified professional in his field.

As you can see, what the child will become in the future largely depends on the professionalism of the elementary school teacher.

How are salaries calculated?

Now let's find out what the salary of a primary school teacher is made up of. The following standards have been enacted on September 1, 2013 and are current. Moreover, their effect extends to all school teachers, regardless of focus and profile subject.

The salary of a primary school teacher consists of an equal salary for all hours worked and various additional payments. These include the following types of surcharges:

  • for student performance indicators;

  • for the design of the classroom;

  • for additional work with students from difficult families;

  • for participating in interscholastic projects;

  • for working with parents.

Achievements for each of the above indicators are summed up in special points. Based on the total number of points, the bonus that the teacher receives for his main salary is calculated.

In addition, the teacher also receives a supplement for class management. Considering the fact that all primary school teachers are class teachers, this type of material incentive is intended for them all. In addition, in the regions of Extreme Sevre, as well as to the wages of other categories of workers, an increasing factor is applied. Other regional co-payments from the local budgets of the constituent entities of the Federation may also be provided. In addition, additional allowances may be applied in private schools in addition to the salary components mentioned above.

Of course, this accrual system is quite complex, and sometimes it is, frankly, subjective.

As it was before?

But until September 2013, completely different standards were applied in the payroll of teachers. Let's figure out how to calculate the salary of primary school teachers according to the old standards.

Previously, teacher salaries were not equal, but depended on a number of indicators. First of all, they included the length of service and qualification of the teacher. Now these components are not taken into account at all when calculating wages.

In addition to the salary, the salary of primary school teachers was also formed due to various compensation and incentive surcharges.

It is difficult to say which of the systems of calculating earnings is better: the one that was before September 2013, or the one that is being applied now, but the Ministry of Education is probably better aware.

Average earnings

The average salary of a primary school teacher in 2015 in Russia was 25, 000 rubles. This wage level is more than 7 thousand rubles behind the average monthly income of Russians, the value of which exceeds 32 000 rubles.

This suggests that teachers' earnings need to be increased, because judging by the income, being a teacher is not so prestigious.

Salary by region

Now let's find out what the salary of a primary school teacher in Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federation is. Earnings of domestic teachers of primary education in various parts of the country have the following average indicators:

  • Moscow - 45, 000 rubles.

  • Nenets Autonomous Okrug - 37 500 rubles.

  • Vladimir region - 32 500 rubles.

  • Moscow region - 30 000 rubles.

  • St. Petersburg - 27 500 rubles.

  • Leningrad Region - 26, 667 rubles.

  • Republic of Sakha - 25, 833 rubles.

  • Magadan region - 25 000 rubles.

  • Arkhangelsk region - 25, 000 rubles.

  • The Republic of Khakassia - 25, 000 rubles.

  • Tyumen region - 23 750 rubles.

  • Volgograd region - 23 417 rubles.

What is the reason for the difference?

As you can see, the highest level of income are teachers of primary schools in Moscow. Their average earnings are 45, 000 rubles per month. Such a high level of salary is due to the large number of private schools in the capital, as well as a high regional allowance.

Following Moscow in terms of earnings, teachers of the elementary grades of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug follow. They have an average monthly income of 37, 500 rubles. This amount, as well as the Muscovites' earnings, exceeds even the average salary of Russians in the country. The relatively high salaries of teachers from this autonomous region are explained by the application of the so-called northern coefficient to them.

The salary of primary school teachers in the Vladimir region is the third largest in Russia in size and amounts to 32, 500 rubles. It is also associated with regional allowances.

The salary of a primary school teacher in the Moscow region averages 30, 000 rubles, which is already less than the average monthly income of Russians. But relatively high regional premiums are also applied in this region.

Next in terms of income are teachers from St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and the Republic of Sakha. Their average earnings vary from 25.8 to 27.5 thousand rubles.

In the Republic of Khakassia, as well as in the Magadan and Arkhangelsk regions, primary school teachers receive the same amount as the average for Russia as a whole - 25, 000 rubles a month.

The smallest of these regions is the salary of teachers in the Tyumen and Volgograd regions. There, primary school teachers earn an average of 23, 750 rubles, respectively. and 23, 417 rubles.

But even this is not the limit. In all the regions of Russia not mentioned above, the earnings of primary school teachers are even lower.

Where do they earn the least?

We found that the teachers in the lower grades of Moscow earn the most in the Russian Federation, but in which regions do they have the lowest salaries?

Teachers of the Rostov region have the lowest income. On average, they receive only about 11, 000 rubles a month. This is due to the fact that there are no any regional allowances in the region, as well as incomplete hours worked by teachers in the lower grades in this part of the country.

Salary Comparison

We figured out the nuances of the payroll of teachers of the junior level of education, found out what they get for and how much. The salary of primary school teachers is pretty much dependent on the region in which they work.

As you can see, the average salary of teachers in this profile of 25, 000 rubles is quite arbitrary, because in Moscow they have an income of 45, 000 rubles, and in the Rostov region their salary barely reaches 11, 000 rubles, which is associated with a number of objective and subjective factors.
