There are no high paying jobs in the village of Chamalti. Therefore, many of its residents go to work in other cities and even countries. A man named Mehmet Koch, who is a welder by profession, left to work in South Africa in 1975 and managed to achieve decent income, and also helped 500 of his fellow countrymen settle in this country. Soon they all began to invest in the development of their native village and eliminated the crisis in it.
Thesis period
In the 70s, Mehmet Koch worked as a welder in Turkey. He mainly worked in the market. At that time, American investors planned the creation of an oil refining enterprise in South Africa. For some reasons, they were looking for a qualified welder in Turkey and went to Koch. They liked him at the expense of professionalism and experience. Before Turkey, he worked in Qatar at an oil plant, created pipelines.
He was attracted by the offer of the Americans, and he went to South Africa. Work processes required an increase in the number of masters of the profession and other workers. Then the man began to attract his friends and acquaintances, paid them travel and first stay. Gradually, people began to gather from other places surrounding the village of Chamalti. All of them worked in South Africa. Some married local residents and stayed there to live.
In total, Mehmet worked in this country for 30 years, and upon retiring, returned to his homeland. In his village, he, along with other residents, ennobled the area, built new houses and improved infrastructure. They dedicated this to their whole lives.

Arrival of 500 people
Mehmet Koch always helped his native village and its inhabitants. When the question arose about their arrival in South Africa, he personally organized flights and, according to this principle, systematically transported 500 people to South Africa.
Some of his friends were so poor that they agreed to any work. Mostly they occupied the vacancies of handymen. Gradually, their career developed, professional status and income improved. And they had enough funds to create houses, as in the photo below.
Some friends of Koch managed to earn impressive amounts and get rich. They stayed to live in South Africa, but make generous investments in the development of their native village.
Youth situation
In the village of Chalmati, the society is mostly young, but there are not many elderly people. The local youth, following the example of Mehmet, tend to work in South Africa and other African countries. Someone leaves for Chile, Germany, Denmark and Norway. Many, having earned good money, return to the village and build their homes.
