Glenn McConell of Auckland, Australia, decided on an interesting experiment. He is ready for a while to abandon all high-tech gadgets and return to the 2000s. Now, instead of his iPhone, he uses an old push-button telephone.

Glenn notes that immediately after the start of his experiment, he had difficulty communicating with his friends. It turned out that now to contact him through Instagram, Facebook or WhatsAp is simply impossible. You need to write SMS or, worse, call the phone.
“Over the past few years, technology flaws have become more apparent. By no means do I think that we should give up everything that new technologies can offer us, but I think that we must be careful that we lose in order to use them, ”says Glenn McConnell.
Technology is changing our lives
Recent studies of the effects of the Internet, which some neuroscientists suggest make us dumber, have allowed us to answer this question once and for all. Studies at Macquarie University show that while smartphones give us access to more information and allow us to communicate more quickly with friends, we are becoming less social and less aware of the facts.

Experts warn: before the holidays, there are more Internet scams
Mark Williams, a professor of neuroscience, says smartphones make us struggle with concentration, as we scroll through the information we receive from the message, and then move from one notification to another. Simply put, we depend on our phones.
Social on the Internet
Modern man has formed online communities, allowing people to express themselves and form strong connections over the Internet. Now we can see and learn about the world in real time from our own homes. And travel apps like maps, Uber, and even automatic cars are revolutionizing transportation.
Back in 2000, you had to remember the bus schedule or have your own car. It was also harder to access information, and harder to hear your message.
