Nevertheless, he managed to occupy his niche among experts justifying any steps of his government. On programs where the main thing is not logical argumentation, but emotional discussion with an opponent, Tryukhan plays according to the accepted rules.

Vadim Valerievich Tryukhan was born on January 9, 1972 in the small village of Piskoshino, located in the Zaporizhia region of Ukraine. He studied well in high school, but failed to enter Moscow State University. He studied at the Kharkov Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations, which he graduated with honors. He received the specialty of "referent-translator", specialized in the Croatian language. He also knows English and, naturally, Russian. He received additional education at the German College of International Security and at the courses of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.
The work biography of Vadim Tryukhan began in the public service. From 1997 to 2011, he worked in various positions in the diplomatic service of Ukraine. He went through many stages in the service hierarchy, worked in various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Secretariat of the Secretary of State for European Integration. For some time he worked in the Presidential Administration, where he also dealt with foreign policy issues. In 2011, he was appointed ambassador on special missions, in 2013 - director of the department of foreign economic relations in the country's agricultural ministry. Since 2015, he has been chairman of the board of the public organization "European Choice of Ukraine" and is deputy chairman of the political council of the Power of People
Vadim Tryukhan is currently divorced, has two children - a son and a daughter.
On Russian television
As a political scientist, Vadim Tryukhan gained fame after the outbreak of conflict in eastern Ukraine, when all political Russian talk shows began to invite Ukrainian experts. Every day there was at least one program on state channels where the situation in Ukraine was discussed. The experts of this country have practically settled in the Russian capital, wandering from transfer to transfer.
At first, positioning himself as a former diplomat, Tryukhan was quite restrained. However, adapting to the format of the programs, it is now an unconditional supporter of the Ukrainian authorities. The political scientist justifies almost all the actions of the government and the president. Tryukhan finds excuses even on issues such as the heroization of the OUN-UPA and torchlight processions. According to the Ukrainian expert, what is happening in his country is assessed too critically.
Everyone remembered the incident on the day of mourning for those killed in the Sochi plane crash. To honor the memory of the dead, everyone stood in the television studio except Vadim Tryukhan, who said that he did not understand why to get up. For this, he was then taken out of the studio.

In various publications they write that speakers prepare a speech in advance on television broadcasts. And everyone should speak only in accordance with the scenario and adhere to a predetermined position on each issue. According to Vadim Tryukhan, this is not true. The former diplomat said that this could happen on low-rating programs. However, on political talk shows on federal Russian channels where he speaks, Ukrainian guests say only what they consider necessary.
According to him, in such popular programs, as, for example, Sunday Night with Soloviev, Duel and 60 Minutes, everything happens in a natural way. And Russian leaders behave fairly fairly.
