St. Petersburg JCC is a huge building for various events: exhibitions and concerts, shows and fairs. They are held on any subject. Often held children's and youth sports competitions.
Sports and Concert Complex
The CCM is located near the metro station "Victory Park", between the Moscow Victory Park and the TRK "Rainbow", on Yuri Gagarin Avenue 8. It was built in 1979, with a capacity of 25, 000 spectators. The main entrance is located on the subway side, from there lies an asphalt road to the complex itself with the passage through the avenue.
Since its opening, major sporting events and concerts have been held in it. In 1989, performances of participants in the USSR championship in figure skating, and later in the European Championship, were held here. Tournaments in karate, sports dancing, hockey, football, gymnastics, judo are constantly held. World-famous stars performed in the CCM: Scorpions, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Scooter, Metallica, Shakira, Madonna, Green Day, Lady Gaga.
In the St. Petersburg CCM, exhibitions are organized between major concerts and sporting events. At the same time, during the festivals, the organizers themselves organize exhibitions with the possibility of acquiring the goods they like.
Annual events
Traditionally, the festival "Nevsky Bereg" is held in the sports and concert complex, within the framework of which exhibitions of various manufacturers of goods and services in the field of beauty, fashion shows, competitions for the creation of the best hairstyles and manicures are organized.
For the past few years, visitors have come to love the Comic Con comic book festival. On it, viewers will be able to see the largest in Russia spectacular costumed show on films, series, comics and computer games. Since 2017, the organizers changed their name to Epic Con. During the festival, in the St. Petersburg CCM at the exhibitions and near the stands you can buy the attributes of the fantasy world.
This year the international festival of robotics "RoboFinist" chose the CCM as a platform for accommodation. Numerous representatives of schools and universities gathered at it, including ITMO, SPbSUT, DDT Preobrazhensky, Club ROBOTREK, League of Robots and others. The program is interesting and rich, it includes contests and competitions of robots, training workshops, robot battles. The festival is aimed at children and students, its participants are trying to invite as many children as possible to the circles on programming and robotics.
Exhibitions in CCM
In addition to exhibitions dedicated to festivals, the CCM also organizes smaller events.
Antique fairs are held where you can get acquainted with other connoisseurs of antiquity and purchase your favorite things, exhibitions of Orthodox culture, which attract guests from all over the region. The administration is trying to attract the maximum number of participants, not only ordinary visitors, but also famous masters who can present their works or show master classes.
For the New Year and Christmas holidays, exhibitions and fairs of masters with a huge number of stands open in the CCM, where you can find many copyrighted works of different price segments.
Farmer exhibitions are constantly organized, at which beekeepers bring delicious honey from different parts of the country, and gardeners boast of an excellent harvest. In the same place, in St. Petersburg, at an exhibition in the JCC at Victory Park, women choose fur coats from a wide range of products from different manufacturers and representative offices. Fur fairs traditionally abound with beautiful and warm things made of natural material.
