Sports career
In the 2008-2009 sports season, Dmitry, as part of the Metalloinvest team, took part in the Super League for the first time as part of the strongest division. A bright player, a strong striker brilliantly showed himself in this championship and received an invitation to participate in the World Universiade, where he also won.
In 2009-2010, Dmitry simultaneously with the talented volleyball player Denis Biryukov went to Lokomotiv-Belogorye. The guy showed himself very brightly and by the end of the season he became the leader of the team, signed a contract with the club for 5 years. Dmitry Ilyinykh earned an invitation to the Russian team with his technical game. He was recognized as one of ten successful volleyball players whose performance is higher than the rest.
In 2011, Dmitry Ilyinykh was honored to participate in the World League. The national team coach Vladimir Alekno did not fail, making the striker on the team list. Ilyins participated in 30 matches, bringing the team 50 points.
