Under the scrutiny of scientists recently renewable energy sources. The time has come that made us think about tomorrow and clearly understand that the use of the Earth’s mineral resources cannot be infinite.

The thermonuclear fusion reaction of the sun is the main process of the emergence of alternative energy. According to astronomers, the estimated life of this planet is five billion years, which makes it possible to judge the almost endless reserves of solar radiation. Renewable energy sources are not only the incoming streams of the Sun, but also other derivatives - alternative sources: the movement of wind, waves and the water cycle in nature. For a long time, nature adapted to the use of solar radiation and thus reached thermal equilibrium. This received energy does not lead to global warming, since, having launched all the necessary processes on Earth, it returns back to space. Rational use of renewable energy is a priority

scientists leading scientific developments in this field. Indeed, of the total solar radiation received, only a third is used to support life processes on Earth, 0.02% is spent by plants for the photosynthesis they need, and the remaining unclaimed part is returned to outer space.

Types and application

Renewable energy sources consist of several main components:

  • The sun. In this case, the resulting stream is used directly through solar panels. The conversion of electromagnetic radiation allows you to have electrical or thermal energy at the output.

  • Image

Wind. Using wind generators or windmills, the kinetic energy of the air mass is converted into heat or electric current. Where such renewable energy sources are introduced, coal is saved up to 29, 000 tons and about 92, 000 barrels of oil per year.

  • Geothermal waters. Hot geothermal sources are used as a heat carrier for thermal power plants. Geothermal power plants are being built in the area of volcanically active zones, where water rises to the surface of the soil and has a boiling point at the outlet. These underground sources are located at a relatively shallow depth and are accessed through drilled wells.

  • Water. The construction of power plants made it possible to use water flow as an energy source. To use the wave potential, wave power plants are being built, the specific power of which exceeds the power of wind and solar installations.

The National Laboratory of Denmark has prepared a report, which said that by 2050 the world will be able to switch to receiving energy with a very low level of carbon emissions. At the same time, its cost will be much less than the cost of extracting natural resources from the bowels of the Earth.
