Many people remember the program "Weak Link". In 2001-2005, she was very popular with viewers. Almost 14 years have passed, however, many of her fans still remember the charismatic presenter Maria Kiselyova.
Her manner of transmitting then shocked many. Maria sneered at the players in an icy voice, and then mercilessly proclaimed one of them the "weakest link." For some viewers, the cold ran through the skin, so leading was convincing.
The beginning of the television career
In 2001, M. Kiseleva became one of the presenters of the Today program on NTV - she spoke about sports news. Along the way, she hosted the Weak Link television show. Sports news with her participation went on the air for a year, and the show - until 2005.
Kiseleva also tried her hand as an actress. In 2003, she played a small role in the TV series "Idiot". After there were a few more roles.
Life before television
Only a few fans of the Weak Link program knew that Kiseleva is a famous athlete, three-time world champion, Olympic medalist and nine-time European synchronized swimming champion. Although when she began to engage in swimming, it was not a question of becoming a professional in this sport. But everything turned out so that Maria was very carried away by this occupation, and when the first results appeared, it became clear that she was able to achieve a lot.

When Kiseleva left the big sport, she already decided what she would do next. Maria was always attracted to journalism; in 1993, she entered the journalism department of Moscow State University for distance learning.
Kiseleva was for a long time the press attaché of the Russian Olympic Committee. The athlete herself repeatedly said that she considered this position to be the most suitable for herself: journalism and sports in one bottle.
The image of the ice beauty
For a long time, the program “Weak Link” no longer exists, and the leader is sometimes remembered. Fans still admire the "icy beauty", and some laugh, recalling the "sadistic" manners of Kiseleva.
Maria is a completely different person by nature. Her television image was created specifically - a kind of sarcastic beauty, provoking participants to the manifestation of emotions. I must say that the former athlete coped with this role brilliantly.
