LGITMiK
Yuri Kamorny was born in 1944. Immediately after graduation, he decided to enter LGITMiK. Yuri was one of the most disciplined and talented students of this institute. On the other hand, the sociable character of the young man allowed him to be the soul and instigator of any company. Kamorny also knew how to play several musical instruments, from the harmonica to the guitar. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that filmmakers drew attention to a talented young man.
First roles
Director Julian Panich noticed him first and invited him to a leading role in the film “Seeing Off White Nights”. Yuri Kamorny played a journalist named Valery, who was moderately cynical, moderately conscientious playboy. Unfortunately, the film had a difficult fate: it was put on the shelf due to Panich's departure to the West. Therefore, almost no one saw the film, and Yuri's debut failed.
But soon Kamororny smiled fortune. He got a leading role in the picture of Mikhail Bogin "Zosya". The film was a great success at the box office, and the performer of the main role, Paul Rax, was named the best actress of the year (according to the version of the Soviet Screen publication). Rumor had it that between the Polish beauty and Kamorny "romance" spun. And they are quite believable, since the actor was a huge success with women, and in artistic circles was known as the first lover.
Late 60s
After graduating from the institute, Yuri Kamorny, whose personal life was quite stormy, fell into the Bryantsev troupe (Leningrad Youth Theater). The team was headed by Korogodsky, a teacher of the actor at LGITMiK. He loved Kamorny very much, because many considered Yuri his favorite. It was difficult to judge the veracity of these rumors, but the fact that Korogodsky turned a blind eye to the combination of the theater and film actor is an undoubted fact. And at that time, Yuri acted very actively. His most famous works are “Kremlin Chimes”, “Quarantine” and the series of films “Liberation”. In 1967, Kamorny married Irina Petrovskaya. The girl was an aspiring actress. A year later, the couple had a daughter, Polina.
70s
In the 70s, actor Yuri Kamorny was more successful in the theater. On the theater stage, he played many diverse roles in such performances as “Sip of Freedom”, “Our Circus” and “Master”. But the best embodied way of Yuri will be Rizpozolensky in the play "Our People - Let's Count."
In the movie, there were practically no decent and large-scale roles for Kamorny's talent. Basically, the actor embodied the role of successful and beautiful young guys, sort of womanizer and superman.
Divorce and a new relationship
In the early 70's, Yuri Kamorny divorced and moved to live in a tight make-up room for youth theater. He left the apartment on Suvorovsky to his daughter and ex-wife. In 1972, on the set of the picture “A door without a lock, ” the actor met a student at Leningrad State University, who studied at the law faculty. She beneficially influenced Kamorny. Yuri stopped drinking and began to monitor his own health (before that, he had already undergone a couple of abdominal operations - adhesions and hernias). The girl got a job as an administrator at Lenfilm and for several years accompanied the actor in his film expeditions.
Leaving the theater
Although the cinema did not reveal the full talent of Kamorny, he still decided to make it his main profession. And in 1976, Yuri left the Youth Theater and got a job at Lenfilm. Soon, the actor was given a living space: a 12-meter room in a communal apartment. The house was located on Saltykov-Shchedrin Street, where there was one of the most famous bars at that time - “Surf”. Kamorny became his frequent visitor. The beer party adored Yuri for his cheerful disposition and funny stories from the cinema life. Even all the local policemen went to his friends. But periodic spree did not stop the actor from actively participating in new projects.
Last years
In the early 80s, both personal and creative life of Yuri was developing very well. At least everything looked exactly that way. In 1980, Yuri Kamorny received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Relations with a student at LSU ended, but the girl continued to help him with work. Soon her place was taken by a young make-up artist, whom Yuri met on the set in Lithuania. It was she who was with the actor on the last day of his life.
Two versions of death

Razzakov version
According to Razzakov’s version, the neighbors went to Yuri’s apartment and saw him standing on the couch with two daggers in their hands. A frightened girl sat in the corner of the room. The neighbors immediately called a narcologist and police. Arriving law enforcement officers did not take risks and used weapons, firing two warning shots at the ceiling. One of the bullets rebounded in the girl's hand. The third shot was fired at the actor. The bullet touched the femoral artery, and Kamorny died of blood loss in a few seconds.
