The South China Sea is located in two climatic zones: equatorial and subequatorial. In winter, mostly northeasterly winds blow, and in summer, southwest winds. Thanks to them, fans of windsurfing, parasailing, and kitesurfing annually come to the resort towns of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet every year. Water temperature ranges from +20 to +27 degrees in the summer. Closer to autumn, the Chinese Sea warms up to +29 degrees. In summer, typhoons often occur.

The borders of many states come to the sea: the Philippines, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia. A large number of trade routes pass by sea. All this makes the South China Sea very lively. In addition, it is very rich in biological and mineral resources, which is why territorial conflicts often erupt between coastal states. This is especially true for large oil reserves discovered.

The South China Sea annually attracts thousands of tourists to its shores. Gorgeous beaches will give you the fabulous island of Koh Samui, in Pattaya you will find an unforgettable nightlife. Vietnam also has a number of resort towns. For example, Nyachag, Phan Thiet, Danang. All of them have developed infrastructure and many travel agencies. Thanks to good financing, exotic resorts of China located on Hainan Island are gaining more and more popularity every year. One of the most amazing places in the South China Sea is Singapore. Its area is only 720 km². Despite this, today it is one of the most economically developed countries in Asia with a high standard of living.

The East China Sea is located between the Kyushu and Ryukyu Islands and the eastern Chinese coast. It has a semi-closed shape. Its total area is 836 thousand km². The greatest depth of the sea is 2719 meters. The water temperature in the summer rises to +28 degrees. Daily tides reach an average of 7.5 kilometers. The sea is constantly fishing: the extraction of sardines, herring, as well as crabs, lobsters, trepangs and seaweed.

In the East China Sea, navigation is poorly developed. Most of the navigation aids are closer to ports, on capes, on the shores of tides. Earthquakes that change the seabed often occur here. Their result is the appearance of longitudinal and transverse waves, which crush everything in its path. Often there are tsunamis that bring down their destructive power on land. Typically, local tsunamis consist of a series of waves. Usually their number ranges from three to nine. They spread over land at a speed of up to 300 km / h with an interval of 10-30 minutes. The height of the waves reaches 5 meters, the maximum length is 100 kilometers.
