Military service

Andrey Zhukov is a volunteer of the Red Army, where he left at the age of 19. Here he began his service with the rank of Red Army. He took part in the battle with the Basmachi, which took place in Central Asia.

At the age of 23, Andrei Zhukov re-took courses of command personnel. In the Turkestan division he became the commander of the third regiment, and in 1930 - the commander of the Gorky School named after Stalin.

After 2 years passed armored courses in the city of Leningrad. He then served in the Far East and became the company commander of the Red Banner Far Eastern Army. In 1937 he was promoted to assistant battalion commander.

At 40, Andrei Zhukov was already the head of the fifteenth army of the Far Eastern Front, and a year later he became deputy commander of the first reserve tank regiment.

Participation in wars

The Great Patriotic War claimed many innocent lives, and Andrei Zhukov took a direct part in it.

Having reached the rank of lieutenant colonel by that time, he led the brigade, which under his command fought on the Bryansk and Southeast fronts. She also actively participated in the Stalin battle. Andrey Zhukov commanded so successfully that by the end of the war he led one of the mechanized brigades.

His brigade in the battles from the Dniester to the Prut was the first to hit the Prut River. For participating in this battle, the commander was awarded the Order of Kutuzov of the second degree.

The hero achieved particular success in defeating the dangerous Kishinev group, in battles for the freedom of Romanians and Hungarians.

The colonel had excellent organizational skills, so thanks to his efforts the brigades were able to successfully interact in the Debren operation.

In 1944, the team of Andrei Zhukov dealt a crushing blow to the enemy. She also participated in the liberation of many cities.

He received a military leader the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal.

In April 1945, Zhukov was seriously injured, but good physical fitness and fortitude helped him to his feet. After recovery, he went to serve in the Soviet army, became the commander of one of the divisions of the Primorsky Military District.
