Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadievich: the beginning of the path

The future famous musician was born in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, there was a joyful event in October 1961. The boy’s childhood passed in constant moving, which was associated with the professional activities of his father. First, his parents settled in Khanty-Mansiysk, then moved to Surgut. Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadievich graduated from school in Yekaterinburg, after which he entered the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute.

It was during his student years that he met with Dmitry Umetsky, a future member of the Nautilus Pompilius band. Even then, Vyacheslav was seriously interested in rock music, but he still finished his studies at the university. For some time he worked at the architectural bureau as a design engineer, and contributed to the development of the project for the Yekaterinburg metro stations.

First successes

Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadevich did not work as an engineer for long, since his love of music won. As a student, he and Dmitry Umetsky organized the rock group Ali Baba and Forty Thieves, which was later renamed Nautilus Pompilius on the advice of Ilya Kormiltsev.

The first album of the new musical collective was called "Relocation", work on it was started back in 1982. Unfortunately, the product, the creation of which was inspired by the work of the popular “Ice Zeppelin” group in those years, did not have much success. Also, the second album of the rock band "Invisible", released in 1985, was not given special attention. However, the musicians did not give up, performed at a local rock club and rehearsed for hours.

Finest hour

Already in 1986, Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadevich became a star. Popularity to the group “Nautilus Pompilius” was presented by the third album, called “Separation”. “Casanova”, “Shackled by one chain”, “View from the screen”, “Khaki ball” - the songs that entered it could be heard in almost every house. Then the style of the Nau rock band was defined - makeup, pseudo-war form and expressive plastic.

To consolidate the success of the group, a brilliant performance at the rock festival in Novosibirsk, which took place in the spring of 1987, helped. After that, the musical collective began to be compared with "Alice", "Aquarium", "Cinema" and other leaders of Soviet rock.

"Nautilus Pompilius"

Nautilus Pompilius is a musical group that has managed to survive for a total of 15 years. The group was constantly experiencing a change in composition, but retained its popularity. Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadievich remained its undisputed leader, the albums came out one by one and were sold out like hot cakes. In total, the rock band, which announced itself in the 1980s, presented the world with 12 studio albums.

The hits of the group can be listed for a long time. “Walks on the water”, “Wings”, “Titanic”, “On the bank of the nameless river”, “Breath” - songs that have become almost folk, like the ones mentioned above.

"Yablokitai" is the latest album "Nau", which the group presented in 1996. It was recorded in England, Boris Grebenshchikov took part in the work on it. The farewell concert of the band "Last Swim" took place in June 1997, then it officially ceased to exist.

"Jupiter"

After the breakup of the Nautilus Pompilius group, Vyacheslav Gennadievich Butusov began his solo career. The biography of the rock star indicates that this happened in 1997. He presented to the court of fans two solo albums, which were called "The illegitimate" and "Ovals." Then the famous singer recorded a joint disc with the musicians of the Kino group, which fell apart after the death of Tsoi.

Then the U-Peter group was born, the founders of which were Vyacheslav Butusov and Yuri Kasparyan. The new team announced itself with the help of the song “Shock Love”, then released their debut album “Name of the Rivers” in 2003. Then followed the albums “Biography”, “Praying Mantis”, “Flowers and Thorns”, “Goodgora”. The most popular songs were “Girl around the city”, “Song of going home”, “Children of minutes”.

In early 2017, fans of the U-Peter group were saddened by the news of its breakup.

Personal life

Of course, fans are also interested in whether Butusov Vyacheslav Gennadievich is married. Personal life, fortunately, is not a secret that the singer hides from the public. The first time he tied himself up in marriage as a student, his chosen one was the costume designer Marina Dobrovolskaya. In 1980, Marina gave birth to Vyacheslav daughter Anna, but soon the family broke up for unknown reasons.

The second time Butusov got married after he became a rock star and moved to St. Petersburg. His choice fell on Angelica Estoyeva - a girl whose professional activities were not related to the world of show business. The second wife gave birth to Vyacheslav a son and two daughters. Estoyeva and Butusov are still together, happy in marriage.
