And if the mother was at first opposed to this marriage, the couple proved the seriousness and stability of family ties by their relationship, they have not been separated since their marriage in 1984.
His wife Olga Viktorovna Basova became not only a wife, but also a partner in the director's work. It all happened in the nineties, when the country's film industry was so stagnant that there was nothing to pay money to the assistant director. It was then that Olga came to the rescue, becoming a voluntary assistant to her husband.
Vladimir and Olga have one son - Ivan Basov.
