Unpublished forecast

In December 2008, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Andrei Klepach, after it became clear that Russia had become one of the states that had suffered losses from the global financial crisis, officially recognized that the recession process in the Russian Federation had already begun. According to the newspaper "Vedomosti", it was Andrei Nikolaevich who was supposed to present a forecast for the development of Russia, taking into account the outbreak of the crisis. This work was never completed. One of the reasons why Klepach’s work was never published is called the inconsistency of the picture of the world predicted by the official with the political attitudes in the country. The data presented by Andrey Klepach contained information on low GDP growth, cheap ruble and a drop in industrial production. According to Vedomosti analysts, an intelligent and quiet deputy minister faced a choice: to prove himself as a competent economist or to remain a good official. In 2009, the leadership of United Russia was presented with the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development for the current year, compiled by the Ministry of Finance. According to the materials of this work, the fall in incomes of Russian citizens should be 8.3 percent. Andrei Nikolaevich confirmed this figure.

Project "Russian World"

The main idea of this project, developed with the participation of Andrei Klepach, is the development and development of Russia. The program includes several aspects: economic, geopolitical, regional, spiritual and social. At the geopolitical level, Russia should unite countries for which joint and friendly development brings economic and political advantages. By 2020, in terms of GDP, the Russian Federation should be among the five leading countries along with China, India, Japan and the USA, while overtaking Germany. Klepach Andrei Nikolaevich believes that at the moment Russia is once again facing a choice: to join the achievements of Western civilization or find its own development path. He claims that our country should create a center of power in the territory of post-Soviet Eurasia, combining the strategic potential of Russia, the Caspian energy resources and industrial assets and human capital of Ukraine. Andrei Nikolaevich believes that this union has a great future and names the figures according to which the scale of the Russian economy will increase by more than a third. Klepach argues that Russia should be not only an economic, but also a spiritual leader in a new community of states. He calls this association "the club of friends of Russia."
