The beginning of a professional career

Mario Suarez was born on February 24, 1987 in Alcobendas (province in Madrid). As a child, he became addicted to football - he liked to watch matches on TV and “chase” the ball with friends in the yard. At a young age he entered the football academy of the club Atletico Madrid. In 2004-2005, he performed as part of Atletico Madrid B, which represents Segundo Division B. In November 2005, Mario first played for the basic structure of the “mattress”, when the team met with “Seville” in the Spanish championship “La Liga”. Then the match ended with a total score of 0: 0, however, Mario Suarez imposed a strong game and often created dangerous moments at the opponent's goal. For the entire season of the Spanish championship 2005/2006, Mario played only 6 matches. The footballer was in great shape, and the leadership of Madrid decided to lease the young midfielder to the Valladolid club (Spain). Here he played a little less than one season, after which, on the eve of the new La Liga championship 2006/2007, he moved to FC Celta, again, as a rented player.

Go to Mallorca

In the summer of 2008, Mario had a remarkable event for his career - the first transfer. The Mallorca Football Club (Spain) offered one million US dollars for a talented midfielder. Mario Suarez agreed without hesitation with the conditions of the transition and signed a contract for 4 years. The debut goal of the “opornik” for “Mallorca” happened on September 19, 2009 in the match against Tenerife. Then the match ended with a total score of 4: 0 in favor of the Balearians. In the same year, Mario together with Mallorca successfully qualified for the final stage of the Europa League (UEFA).

To native land

In the summer of 2010, the midfielder returns to his native club Atletico. Player transfer value was two million US dollars. The management of the "mattress workers" took advantage of the option "buyback" (24 months from the date of acquisition of the player by Mallorca), which is advantageous for itself. As part of Vicente Calderon, Suarez managed to take his place at the base. For the “Indians”, the midfielder played until 2015. Over this period of time, the team has achieved incredible results. In the 2013/2014 season, “mattresses” became champions of Spain, and also received silver awards for participating in the Champions League.

Transfer trips to Italy and England

In July 2015, Mario transferred to the Italian club Fiorentina. Just a few weeks later, Stefan Savich moves from Atletico to the same place. These two formed a good tandem in the Italian championship and at first showed a brilliant game. However, Mario stayed here very briefly - he played only 13 matches and managed to score only one goal. In Fiorentina, a career did not work out, so the footballer cheerfully responded to the offer from England.

At the end of January 2016, Mario Suarez (photo below) signs an agreement for four and a half years with the “middle peasant” of the English Premier League “Watford”. He moved here on the initiative of the Hornets head coach Kike Flores, who had previously trained Atlético (in 2009-2011).

In August 2016, the Valencia football club rented a football player for a period of one year.
