Natalya Pavlova - figure skating coach. She was born in early January 1956 in St. Petersburg, then Leningrad in the family of Eugene Dongauser. Natalia graduated in absentia from the North-West Polytechnic Institute in her hometown.
In our country, Pavlova is one of the famous tutors in figure skating, in her youth she was a figure skater, skated in tandem with Vasily Blagov. Natalya Evgenievna is a master of sports of the Soviet Union, but is now better known for her coaching activities. Not without her help, the famous Olympic champions in pair skating - Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin achieved maximum heights in sports. Athlete's career
Natalia began to study with coach Viktor Kudryavtsev, at first she was a loner, then Tatyana Anatolyevna Tarasova herself saw the potential in her and invited her to her group, which she was gaining at that time. Having given the opportunity to show her skills, Tarasova decided to pair the athlete with the beginning skater Vasily Blagov - and did not lose. Already the first tournament for the guys was successful.
The competition was organized by the Moskovskiye Novosti newspaper, the couple skated their program cleanly, but lost the championship by points, taking the second line of the tournament table.
A little later, Vasily and Natalya won the European Cup, but failed to become champions of the USSR. Just before the start of the competition, both caught a cold and uncleanly skated their program, as a result of which they were only fourth. Tarasova understood - it’s worth something to change, suggested that Natalya Pavlova change her partner, but the girl refused - in this case, she would have to offend her friend, whom she claimed to be a partner. So the performances ended, and I had to forget about great sports achievements - the girl announced the end of her career.
Start of coaching
After a short time, Natalya Pavlova (photo below) received an invitation from Tamara Moskvina and her husband to engage in coaching - to recruit talented youth. Together with Moskvina, Natalia began to train juniors, for some time the girl was "on the hook" - she helped, but until the moment when there was a conflict with Tamara.
After Natalia began to train young people on their own, without anyone's help and tips. In 1993, Marina Yeltsova and Andrey Bushkov, who had achieved participation in the European championship by that time, turned to Pavlova and her choreographer Svetlana Korol for help in order to successfully perform at the World Championships. In 1996, they succeeded.
A year later, the couple received gold at the European Championships and silver at the World Championships. However, the performance at the Olympic Games for athletes was unsuccessful and after that they did not want to perform together.
Work with Totmyaninoy and Marinin
After Yeltsova and Bushkova left, Natalya Pavlova took up work with other athletes - Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin. The pair firmly consolidated its position in the national team, but was slightly behind in technology from Elena Berezhnoy and Anton Sikharulidze.
Suddenly, in the same period, Bushkov and Yeltsova returned to Pavlova, now she began to train two pairs already. However, both Marinin and Totmyanin were not ready for such a turn of events, because they considered that more attention would be paid specifically to Bushkov and Yeltsova. Future Olympians decided to leave Natalya Evgenievna and go to Tamara Moskvina, but no agreement was reached, because the guys had to leave for the then-beginning coach Oleg Vasiliev.
