Yarygin pistol was developed by order of the Ministry of Defense to change the obsolete PM. In 1993, this weapon was presented at a competition, and already at the beginning of the 21st century, after a series of tests, it was adopted by the law enforcement agencies and the Russian army. A couple of years later, the gun found its application in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Scope and principle of operation
Yarygin’s combat pistol is designed for close combat, and is also a personal weapon of Armed Forces officers.
Locking and unlocking of the barrel occurs after coupling (uncoupling) of the coupling and the front plane of the window. As a result of the interaction of this clutch and the cam groove, instantaneous locking or unlocking occurs.
The trigger mechanism also has features and allows you to fight with a self-cocking and with a preliminary cocking of the trigger. The frame of the gun is steel, and the handle is plastic.
In the safety position, the trigger, bolt and sear are locked. Features of the gun allow you to fire after removing from the fuse at low speed and the pulling force.
The chamber should be filled at least half. This is due to the need to supply a certain force to the spring. In the case when the effort is not enough, it is possible to skip the supply of the next ammunition.
The magazine latch is located near the trigger guard and can be installed under the battle with either hand.
Sights (unregulated) consist of a rear sight and a front sight. An important feature of the Yarygin pistol is the ability to install phosphor capsules on the sight to facilitate shooting in the dark.
In which countries is the Rook used?
This weapon is used in the Russian Federation in the Armed Forces. Since 2005, it is also an award weapon. Prosecutors have been using PD since 2006. Since 2009, the gun has been used in the bailiff service. Internal troops, as well as some special forces, use Yarygin's pistol in the service.
In addition to domestic services and bodies, Grach is certified in Kazakhstan. This republic uses weapons for sports training complexes and in the service.
The Practical Shooting Federation and some law enforcement agencies of Armenia have adopted PWs.
In Lithuania, Yarygin is kept in service with private security services. Also, the gun is used in Belarus.

Gun features
The work of weapons automation is based on the Colt-Browning system (recoil with a short barrel). The barrel itself has 6 right rifling. The percussion mechanism has its own characteristics, therefore it is intended only for conducting single firing.

The trigger locks in two states: cocked and lowered.
Weapons store - box type. Cartridges are arranged in two rows in a checkerboard pattern. The gun controls are adapted for firing from both the right and left hand.

- Viking MP-446C is a pistol with a plastic frame for sports training. The store holds only 10 rounds.
- "Viking-M" MP-446C - is the next modification of the pistol MP-446C for sports shooting. The frame is supplemented with a Picatinny rail, the barrel production life has been increased. Increased the smoothness of the descent. In this version, the balance of the gun is changed. This allows you to increase the rate of fire. Shops in this version have a single-row exit. The process of assembling and disassembling the gun
The process of assembling and disassembling a Yarygin pistol is similar to disassembling a PM. Incomplete disassembly exists for inspecting internal mechanisms, cleaning and lubricating parts. Full exists for cleaning particularly severe contaminants, changing greases and repairs.
The disassembly sequence is as follows:
- external inspection of the weapon for damage;
- the store is removed, after which a control descent is made;
- then you need to remove the receiver, pull out the spring and bolt frame.
Assemble in the reverse order. For convenience, all the details and mechanisms are laid out in a certain order. A clean litter should be placed under the weapon. Do not use excessive force and shock. At the end of the assembly, its correctness is checked.
Weapon Combat Check
Such verification is carried out when:

The battle check is carried out in the presence of an experienced shooter and an employee, for whom the gun is fixed. Before checking the weapons, they carefully inspect and repair the malfunctions.
It is forbidden to check in windy weather. Shooting is carried out on the target at a distance of 25 meters. In this case, the use of cartridges of one batch is a prerequisite. The target is fixed on the shield, the width of which is 1 meter, and the width is 0.5 meters.
The aiming area is the point on the target, and the aiming point is at eye level arrow.
The fight is checked from a standing position, while the brush should not touch the stop. The shooter fires 4 shots. At the end, accuracy of fire is checked and the average point of impact is calculated.

If the accuracy of the shooting is four holes (or three, if only one of them deviated from the rest), and these holes do not go beyond the circle with a diameter of up to 15 cm. The hole is considered normal if the battle forms an area larger than 150 mm and is removed from the middle, the most densely formed holes at some distances that exceed the diameter of the scattering circle, and also if there are no holes at all on the target, but the parameters of three holes are acceptable, and the center of the dispersion area is on the midline n falling of three holes.
