Valentin Zorin is the master of political journalism. He was a journalist, international political observer, author and host of television and radio broadcasts, an American historian, and the author of many books.

- 1943 - admission to the newly opened faculty of international journalism at Moscow State University. Valentin Zorin became a student of the first group of the legendary educational institution, which later received a separate status: Moscow Institute of International Relations, this happened in December 1944.
- 1948 - graduation and distribution to the first place of service.
- From 1948 to 1955 he worked as a columnist in the International Department of the All-Union Radio. In the same period, he began to conduct the author’s broadcast “View from Moscow”, broadcast in the United States.
- From 1955 to 1965, on the All-Union Radio, he served as deputy chief editor of the news program. During this period, the first overseas trip (1956) took place in England as part of the delegation, where Khrushchev and Bulganin were present. During the meetings, Valentin Zorin led live radio reports.

- In addition to working as a teacher, since 1965, Zorin Valentin Sergeyevich became an observer for the Central Television and Radio of the USSR on political issues. - In 1967, Valentin Zorin became one of the founders of the Institute for the Study of the USA and Canada; in the scientific institution, he is engaged in administrative and research activities as the head of the department of internal politics.
- At the turn of the 70s and 80s, he spoke on television about the world political situation, being the host of the programs “Today in the World”, “America of the Seventies”, “9th Studio”, the program “International Panorama” was especially remembered by the audience.
- In 1997, Zorin Valentin Sergeyevich became the first Deputy Chairman in the Federation of Peace and Consent, and also received the title of Honorary President of this organization.

Kosygin and Johnson. He could also play the role of an expert in negotiations held at the highest state level. His advice was used by M. Gorbachev in negotiations with Rockefeller, Ford, Kessinger and others. Also, a journalist and scientist took an expert part in the work of three UN sessions from the delegation of the USSR. As a person who devoted much to the cause of international politics, he believed that the interests of his state and their protection is the only important strategy, everything else is tactics.
TV shows
The cycles of television programs created by Zorin were filled with information, revealed to the viewer unknown sides of world politics and the lives of ordinary citizens of different countries. In the USSR, everything that was outside borders was little known to an ordinary citizen. To increase awareness, many secretly listened to foreign radio stations and enjoyed watching the television program "International Panorama", which gave an overview of world politics.

Some have been reprinted many times, for example, The Millionaire Misters have been published nine times, and the book The Uncrowned Kings of America has received five reprints. Valentin Zorin used his talent and knowledge for the good of the country, for the development of good-neighborly relations of the USSR, and subsequently Russia, with the world community. He was awarded 2 orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the October Revolution and the "Badge of Honor", he had numerous medals.
Also V.S. Zorin was a laureate of State Prizes of the USSR, Russia, and the Vorovsky Prize. In scientific and teaching, he was a professor at MGIMO, a doctor of historical sciences, a talented teacher (he trained more than thirty students, among whom there are scientists with world renown). He was an honored worker of culture.
