Just 7 kilometers from the capital of Estonia in 1957, an amazing institution was opened - the Open Air Museum of Tallinn. There are 14 farms here that introduce visitors to the village life of the great-grandfathers of the 17th-20th centuries. This is an exposition where houses are presented, the inhabitants of which had different incomes. Naturally, the farm has a school, a church, a general store, mills and a tavern. It is in the museum that handmade items are sold. You can also ride a horse-drawn native Estonian carriage and taste dishes prepared according to ancient national recipes.

Amusement theater
The Legend Museum in Tallinn is a mixture of the latest video technologies, special effects and multimedia tricks. This is not just a museum - it is an “attraction theater”. The building has 10 interactive rooms in which visitors do not just inspect the exhibits, but practically plunge into the unique atmosphere of the ancient city. Within 40 minutes, travelers will hear 9 of the most terrible, but interesting legends about Tallinn. All myths are accompanied by video projections, robot dolls and performances of actors. Here you can hear the devil’s voice and see how the alchemists worked and the inquisitors tormented people, what happened in the city during the plague.

Gourmet Delicacy Gallery
In 2006, the Marzipan Museum appeared in Tallinn. This sweet is very popular not only in Estonia, but also throughout the Baltic States, Austria, Germany and Hungary.
Gallery is constantly updated. Here you can see almond butter confectionery exhibits in the form of fairy-tale characters, busts of stars and musical instruments.
In the excursion program, if visitors wish, the program includes modeling and coloring of marzipan. Naturally, there is also a store where you can purchase original and delicious confectionery.

Bastion moves
This Tallinn museum consists of underground passages, which were defensive structures erected at the turn of the XVII-XVIII centuries, together with the bastion. It was on these moves that the military and ammunition and equipment were transported. In some parts there were observation posts where they monitored the movement of the enemy.
Already in 1857, the moves were completely excluded from the list of objects used during the war. Later, anti-aircraft guns hid here. During the Second World War, the passages were a refuge, so they were rebuilt a bit, they had electricity, communications and water.
Now a kind of car rides here, transporting visitors who can get acquainted with the military history of Tallinn.

Suitcases at the entrance
Many post-Soviet countries have already officially recognized the period of the reign of the Soviet authorities as occupation, and in the light of this, museums, separate exhibitions, and films are appearing. The capital of Estonia is no exception. In 2003, the Museum of Occupations in Tallinn was opened, at the entrance to which symbolic suitcases made of cast iron with tags were installed. The exposition is completely devoted to three periods: until 1940, when the Bolsheviks "occupied" the country, the period of the Second World War (1940-1941), when Germany did the same, and the post-war period, when the Soviet regime was established again. On a regular basis, educational films are shown at the museum. Thus, the country tried to show the world its attitude towards the invaders.

This is a fabulous world that captures the attention of not only children but also adults. The exhibition presents ready-made dolls, you can watch how the masters of their craft create new ones. And under the ground floor of the museum is the "Basement of Horrors." But only the most desperate travelers dare to come down here, because all the dolls in the basement are terrifying, they are the personification of monsters and an unclean spirit. Another feature of the museum is that you can betray your photo with a puppet look or put in a button, you can purchase a coin that confirms a visit to the museum.
