Solid stock is more than a billion tons.
The Amazon River with its tributaries together forms a system whose waterways are more than twenty-five thousand kilometers long. The main channel is navigable at 4.3 thousand kilometers to the Andes.
The Amazon River Francisco de Orellana is open. This European was the first to cross the widest part of South America.
In the dry season, the width of the river is about eleven kilometers. In the rainy season, the size increases three times. The width of the delta is about three hundred twenty-five kilometers.
Flora living in the river, studied by scientists only a third. It has been established that about twenty-five percent of the world's medicinal substances that are used in medicine are extracted from plants in nearby forests. About 1800 species of birds, two hundred and fifty different mammals live in these territories. The river is inhabited by more than two thousand different species of fish. It is also inhabited by dolphins (pink) and bull fish (its length is about four meters and its weight is five hundred kilograms). The famous piranha fish also lives in the Amazon.
About one and a half thousand species of flowers, seven hundred and fifty species of trees, countless invertebrates and insects are found on this unique, without exaggeration.
The Amazon River has a length of 6992.06 kilometers. It should be said that the Nile is one hundred and forty kilometers shorter.
The Amazon River is the deepest. This is due to the fact that it flows almost at the equator. The rainy season begins in the southern part (from October to April), then in the northern (from March to September). In this regard, the river actually flows in a constant flood.
