Achievements

The main achievement of Robert Lawrence Stein can be considered success in this field. The genre of children's horrors is a very delicate subject, because it is necessary to interest the little reader, but not to scare him too much. His work greatly influenced his wife Jane, who founded the publishing house of teenage books. Stein's stories are still known in the world and were displayed in a variety of adaptations. The first was the series "Goosebumps" lasting 74 episodes. The plot talked about how children in difficult situations cope with evil spirits, monsters and abnormal phenomena. Later, two more serial films, known in Europe and America, were released, and in 2015, the movie “Horror” appeared on large screens. It is based on the well-known series of books of the same name for teenagers and was very popular with the audience.

The cycle "Horror"

Many works of the author are known among lovers of the genre, but it was “Horror” to Robert Lawrence Stein that brought fame all over the world. This collection includes 63 short stories where teenagers are the main characters. All readers noted an unusual story, where seemingly simple stories convey an atmosphere of irrational fear to children. For example, the first story in the novel tells of Max, who decided to play with invisibility, but the magic suddenly became uncontrollable. Then the boy began to scare everyone around, without realizing it. Later, the book “Horror” by Robert Lawrence Stein was continued in the form of the second part. Only 13 stories were included in it, and they were more rigid. They describe the actions of maniac killers, mystical forces, tales of the dead, but even this does not make them more scary. For adults, stories still seem naive and predictable.
