The category of women "the oldest mothers in the world" a few years ago was supplemented by 66-year-old Adriana Iliescu (a resident of Romania), having given birth to a daughter. Of course, the child was conceived in an unnatural way (in vitro), but the girl was born healthy. And in his five years already makes some progress. Today, a 72-year-old retired teacher at a local university wants to give birth to a son. It is clear that the second baby will also be conceived "in vitro." The oldest mother in the world hopes that after fifteen years her children will take care and care for her.
However, it is safe to say that Adriana Iliescu is not alone in her desires. So, Maria Carmen del Busada, 66 years old (Barcelona), who gave birth even to twins, can also be classified as the “oldest mothers in the world”. However, in this case, things leave much to be desired, since this woman died a year later, leaving the babies to relatives. But for a long time she dreamed of her own children. In order to get pregnant, a woman for several years collected the necessary amount of money, limiting herself in many ways. Moreover, Carmen’s desire to become a mother was so strong that she cheated when filling out the questionnaire and indicated 55 in the “age” column (although she was already 66 at that time). And the doctors did not have any suspicions about this, due to the fact that the Spaniard looked younger than her age.
The procedure was successful, and after nine months, the 67-year-old woman at that time had two babies - the boys Christian and Pau. An elderly mother ventured into such an act and should have been admired by the public. However, there were people who condemned the woman’s act, called him selfish and irresponsible. And time showed them right. Less than a year after the birth of Carmen babies, the doctors made a terrible diagnosis (cancer), with which she lived for less than 12 months.
Guinness World Records also added to the category of “oldest moms in the world” women from India. So, in 2003, the birth of a boy was registered in a 65-year-old Indian woman, and in 2008 - the appearance of a daughter in her 70-year-old compatriot.
We must not forget that similar cases exist in the CIS countries. For example, the oldest mother in Ukraine is registered in Chernigov. Valentina gave birth to her first child also at 66 years old. Her record was noted in the Book of Records of Ukraine. Her story is also quite interesting. For the first time, Valentina wanted to give birth as early as 63 years, but three artificial inseminations were inconclusive. And only at 65 she was able to get pregnant. Before all this, she had to go through a rather difficult way of drawing up the necessary documents. Only due to the availability of certificates, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine gave permission for artificial insemination at this age. It is necessary to take into account the high cost of this procedure. For this, Valentina had to put aside all her money for a long time, trade on the market and eat even one potato. However, today the Ukrainian is not going to save on her daughter and buys her all the best.
Thus, the oldest mothers in the world gave birth to their firstborns at the age of about 66 years and were able to become pregnant only using artificial insemination techniques.
