In March 2017, a new metro station was opened - Minskaya. It is located on the Kalinin-Solntsevskaya line, to which the transition from Arbat-Pokrovskaya is carried out at Victory Park.
Construction
In 2013, information appeared in the media about a decision to open a technical station on the Pobedy Park - Lomonosovsky Prospekt section. But the plans of metro builders soon changed. It was decided to start the construction of a full-fledged station. In 2013, they carried out geotechnical work. The pit was uncovered in the summer of 2014, but the construction process was suspended for unknown reasons. Work resumed in 2015. The construction was quite active and was already completed by the end of next year.
Architectural features
The metro station "Minskaya" refers to shallow stations. The interior is designed in high-tech style. Such materials as ceramic-metal panels, granite, aluminum, stainless steel were used in the decoration of the pavilion. The main feature of the Minsk metro station is the design of the columns. If you are at the end of the pavilion, you can see that the images on them are details of a single picture. Subject design - military. The metro station "Minskaya" is located on the street of the same name. Nearby are Victory Park, Matveyevsky Forest, Memorial Mosque. The Minsk metro station several years ago could have been opened on another line. The fact is that initially, between Kuntsevskaya and Victory Park, it was planned to build two stations. Today, as you know, on this site there is only one - "Slavic Boulevard". The second was to be Minsk. The plans of city governors and metro builders change quite often. So it was canceled the construction of "Minsk" on the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line.
Victory Park
This is one of the main Moscow venues for public events. The history of Victory Park (or rather Poklonnaya Gora, on which the memorial complex is built) begins in the fourteenth century. The first references date back to 1368. Here once important historical events took place. So, in 1812, Napoleon himself was waiting on Poklonnaya Hill for Moscow nobles "with the keys to the Kremlin."
After the Second World War, they decided to erect a monument in memory of the dead soldiers. Laid down a park, planted trees. But the construction of the memorial complex began only in 1985.
Matveevsky park
The territory of this forest is limited on one side by the street on which the Minsk metro station is located today. Moscow is rich not only in historical monuments, but also in natural areas protected by the state. For example, the valley of the Setun River. This is the largest conservation area, which includes the Matveyevsky forest. In 1991, this object was proclaimed a natural monument. Today, several health and medical organizations are located on the territory of the Matveyevsky Forest.
Memorial mosque
This is another attraction located near the Minsk metro station. The memorial mosque was erected in memory of Muslim soldiers who died during the Second World War. The construction of this facility began in the late nineties, but was accompanied by public rejection. Yet the mosque was built. The government of Moscow, the administration of Muslims of Russia, as well as the famous metropolitan Faiz Gilmanov acted as initiators of the creation of the project.
