In the nineties, the Russian stage was going through an era of boom. Young, talented musicians and singers came who brought new styles and approaches to Russian music.
The music channels were filled with vivid video clips with young and promising guys and girls who sang songs about love and friendship.
The wave of changes did not pass the Lyceum group, the vocalists of which were Anastasia Makarevich, Isold Ishkhanishvili and Elena Perova. Girls became famous thanks to their singles “Autumn”, “Steam Engine-Cloud” and “Stranger”.
Conflict with the producer
The drive took the breath of young performers: they toured the country tirelessly, recorded new songs and managed to communicate with fans.
But the unexpected conflict between the soloist and producer Alexei Lazarevich Makarevich put an end to the fate of the group.
A lot of time has passed since then: Perova managed to be a member of another musical group, then record a solo album and work on television. But now many fans are asking the question: “Where did Elena Perova go?”
What happened
Lena left the Lyceum group in 1997. The reason was non-compliance with the contract by the performer. Perova decided to try her hand at television.

Elena’s elder brother, Russian TV presenter Sergey Evgenyevich Suponev, arranged a sister for the program “I’ll Sing”. He had previously introduced her to Alexei Makarevich.

The next stage in her work was the Amega group. A few years later, the singer began a solo career.

Depression
Until 2013, Lena Perova participated in several more television projects, but then a black streak came in her life. The TV presenter was not invited to the program in which she dreamed of participating, and she had a depression.

She was found with numerous bruises and bloodied hands. Later it became known that she was trying to end her life, but changed her mind, got drunk and went to the psychologist.
In 2014, the TV presenter was stopped by traffic police. Elena Perova was again drunk driving. By then, she was already stripped of her driver’s license after a similar incident.
The turning point in the life of the TV presenter was the fall of 2014. She was found unconscious. This time, the girl mixed alcohol with drugs.
They managed to save the former vocalist of the Lyceum group, but could not continue like this. Doctors decided to send Elena to a psychiatric clinic. After rehabilitation, she returned to life.
