The Zone is a new interactive museum and retail store in Los Angeles, California dedicated to pop star Britney Spears. Jeff Delson teamed up with Shannon Ramirez to create a 2800 square meter site. Here you will hear the best songs of the performer, you can see her videos and concert clothes.
The site is located across the street from the Grove Plaza shopping center. But do not worry - you can easily recognize it from afar. The bright pink building is hard to get through. “It took about two years of planning to get all the details together, ” says Delson. - A lot of details are involved here, we wanted to make sure that we paid attention to all the little things. The construction took a total of three months. ”
The space in which K-Mart used to be located was called the "most exciting attraction." There are ten interactive rooms that showcase Britney's most famous music videos.

Memorabilia and outfits
The first thing you see when you approach the building is the huge wall paintings of Britney Spears. On the left is an image of Britney holding a snake during her performance on MTV in 2001. On the right is a drawing from her Piece of me world tour. The murals were designed by Rob Prior, who said it took about a week to draw. “The response from the people was awesome and a little overwhelming, ” he said. “Besides, I never drew something so big.”
Upon entering the museum, you immediately find yourself in a room filled with glass display cases with Britney's iconic costumes. For example, there is a dress in which 11-year-old Spears participated in the Star Search show, as well as a transparent orange jumpsuit from the music video for the song Till the World Ends.
There is also a retail store where you can buy everything from a hat to a performer's t-shirt. According to the organizers, Britney donated these costumes. “She was very excited, ” says Delson. - She loves her fans, we love her, so we wanted to create a place where they can get to know her better. My favorite outfit is the stewardess’s blue clothes that Britney put on in the Toxic clip. Next to each suit is an explanatory plate that tells when and where Spears put it on.

Interactive part
Upon entering the museum, each visitor is given an RFID bracelet connected to the Zone app. It allows you to upload all photos and videos, as well as interact with some exhibits.
Also inside the museum are recreated some places from the Spears music videos. For example, there is a high school class that we could see in Baby One More Time. A familiar melody plays in the room, and the words of the song are written on a digital board, which is illuminated by pink fluorescent lamps. The screen also broadcasts interviews with museum staff, which tells what visitors can expect from the exhibition.
