Evgeny Anatolyevich Romanov was born in Kaliningrad. A joyful event in the family of the future star occurred on November 2, 1988. From early childhood, the boy began to attend the chess section and from the first lessons showed extraordinary abilities.

The famous Russian chess player Yevgeny Romanov made his first steps on the road to great achievements in a regular sports school for children and youth in Kaliningrad. This institution of continuing education has a long history and has contributed to the professional growth of many talented players. A chess school was founded in 1975. In the next ten years, the well-known trainers of the USSR worked in it: Alexander Malevinsky, Oleg Dementiev, Nikolai Gerasimov, Natalya Wilde and others. Thanks to classes at the educational institution, other grandmasters also entered the world chess Olympus. Three years ago, the educational institution was combined with the school of Russian billiards. Now more than 750 athletes are involved in it, and about 650 of them are chess players.

Do not forget about the fact that as a student in 2007-2008. the grandmaster wins two major tournaments - the championship of Russia and the final stage of the cup of our country among youth. Another major achievement of 2008 was the victory in the Euroorient masters Edition.

2010 was quite successful for Yevgeny Romanov. It was then that the chess player won several prizes in the championship of St. Petersburg, a team tournament of the all-Russian scale, as well as in the championship of our state.
