A chess school was founded in 1975. In the next ten years, the well-known trainers of the USSR worked in it: Alexander Malevinsky, Oleg Dementiev, Nikolai Gerasimov, Natalya Wilde and others. Thanks to classes at the educational institution, other grandmasters also entered the world chess Olympus. 2010 was quite successful for Yevgeny Romanov. It was then that the chess player won several prizes in the championship of St. Petersburg, a team tournament of the all-Russian scale, as well as in the championship of our state.
