Economy

The main industrial facilities of the city are a hydroelectric power station, built with the help of specialists from the USSR, as well as a cement plant, built with the assistance of builders of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. There is also a textile factory in the city, built not without the help of German experts.

The small town of Afghanistan Puli-Khumri is located in a region favorable enough for agricultural work.
