Childhood
She was born near Poltava, in the Ukrainian small village of Chutovo. The father of the future actress was a gentle man and naturally intelligent. Some features of his character passed on to his daughter. Father loved Clara very much and was extremely proud of her successes. She remembered her mother as a hardworking, intelligent, strong-willed woman with a special sense of humor and a craving for art.
As a child, the girl did not even think about an acting career, she did not even imagine that she would ever become a screen star. Moreover, as Luchko Klara Stepanovna herself later recalled, she looked rather ridiculous, and her pegged long figure even teased her, giving her the nickname Giraffe.
Soon her family moved to Poltava. Here the girl entered the Ukrainian school. Parents entrusted the education of Clara to her aunt, a strict illiterate woman. The future actress studied well. She immediately wrote a letter to the university to find out what documents should be submitted. The answer was not long in coming. Mom was against at first. He and his father dreamed that their daughter should study as a lawyer or as a doctor. However, Clara's perseverance convinced her parents. In 1943, she went to Alma-Ata, where at that time VGIK worked in evacuation.

The girl carefully prepared for the entrance exam: she learned a poem, a fable and a large excerpt from a poem called “Zoya”. But she failed to read homework. When the secretary read: “Luchko Klara Stepanovna, ” she, standing in front of the examination committee, was seized with panic. The girl could not utter a word. B. Bibikov came to the aid of the bewildered entrant. It was he who headed the selection committee. The famous teacher, realizing that the girl is not able to read anything, invited her to play a rather unusual sketch. Clara, who dreamed of the image of Ulyana, was invited to the role of Aunt Marina. Following the first picture, the girl starred in such films as “Three Meetings” and “Homeland of Captains”. The pictures turned out to be frankly unsuccessful. This so disappointed the young artist that she even seriously thought about leaving the cinema. And this would have happened if luck had not smiled at the girl. When Klara learned that Pyryev was reading the script for her new comedy film in the theater, she just went to listen. Here the director noticed her and invited her for a test. The Fun Fair has turned her life upside down. It is difficult to underestimate the contribution made by Klara Stepanovna Luchko to the development of our cinema.
Husbands

But in the sixties of the last century, a personal drama happened in her life: her husband died of a heart attack. Klara Luchko experienced loneliness, uncertainty in the profession, and anxiety for her growing daughter. After the noisy successes in the cinema, suddenly a lull in her life came. But the actress continued to work, though now they were not such high-profile roles, but she believed that her profession would not accept downtime.
Eight years after the death of Sergey Lukyanov, Luchko Klara Stepanovna meets with journalist and writer Dmitry Mamleev, who later becomes her husband.
