In 1998, when it was time to graduate from the university, she already had experience in journalism. Therefore, she did not look for work in her specialty.

The beginning of the way

Even in the years of studenthood, Ossetinskaya Elizaveta Nikolaevna began working as a correspondent in an information agency with an economic bias called Rosbusinessconsulting. Her university knowledge and her natural penchant for journalism came in handy. Then she worked for two years in the newspaper Today, while working part-time in the journal Itogi. After graduating from university, Elizabeth began to look for a permanent job. Having already started working in the media, in 2005 Ossetinskaya received an MBA diploma from the joint training program of the Academy of National Economy and Kingston University. Her research was devoted to the problem of the influence of freedom of speech in the country on the profit of the print media, in particular newspapers.

At that time, the Vedomosti newspaper had just opened. And Elizabeth, with her economic education, was happily hired to work there. In this publication, Ossetian worked for 12 years. She made a quite successful career there, having gone from a correspondent to a chief editor. Six months after joining, she became deputy editor in the "Industry and Energy" department, and a year later she headed this division. Ossetian proved herself as a professional specialist and competent leader. A year later, Elizabeth became deputy chief editor of Vedomosti. On it lay control over the entire area called “Companies and Markets”. Periodically, she had to replace the chief editor.

Her work caused a great, positive resonance in the media, Elizabeth became increasingly known as a qualified media manager. She is beginning to be invited to collaborate in other media. So, she led a joint program of “Vedomosti” and the radio station “Echo of Moscow” - “Big Watch”, participated as an expert in several television broadcasts, including with Gleb Pavlovsky in “Real Politics” on NTV. This appearance on the air caused a great response from the public, especially from the opposition parties. As a result, the editor-in-chief of Vedomosti personally banned Ossetinskaya from appearing on NTV channel. In 2007, when Tatyana Lysova, editor-in-chief of Vedomosti, went up, Elizaveta took her place. In 2010, Ossetinskaya vacated the place of the returning Lysova and headed the website of the Vedomosti holding. So, Elizabeth discovered a new, little-mastered in Russia area of ​​activity.

In 2011, the editorial office of the Russian version of Forbes magazine vacated the position of editor-in-chief, to which Ossetinskaya Elizaveta Nikolaevna was invited. Ossetian came to Forbes with great enthusiasm, calling the magazine “a rare example of a quality press” in Russia. She set herself the task - to make the magazine even better. Since January 2014, a new chief editor, Ossetinskaya Elizaveta Nikolaevna, has appeared at the RBC media group of the company, which includes the TV channel, newspaper, website and magazine.
